“now they are a militant class”  - Leftie junk-speak, but I know what you mean.

Of course, teachers, unlike real workers, have plenty of time on their hands to plot the revolution and they can rely on others to create the wealth that pays their wages even when signed off sick for six months.

The old definition of working class pronounced by a Labour MP for a Sheffield constituency is no longer valid. He defined a working class man as someone who left school at fourteen without qualifications and went straight to manual labour.

I’ve forgotten his name which is a disgrace because he was a sound Labour man.

You clearly know nothing about the demands on modern teachers forced by their employers to meet often impossible Ofsted targets. Bet you wouldn't attack the police who create no wealth either.

I have a close relative who is a teacher. I couldn’t do the job but if I had the talent, I wouldn’t mind the hours and holidays.

All workers employed or self-employed are under pressure. Teachers aren’t alone in that.
