That was a game that Rangers should have won. I was rather pessimistic, thought that we would slump to embarrassing, inept, defeat, but I watched with an objective eye, I think, and, actually, I am rather disappointed with the draw. I thought that people on here understood football, but it seems that some just want the outcome to confirm their prejudgements.7 points

Ricksen was shite at right back, Papac while a bit of a folk hero wasn't any better than Munro or Davie Rob, so that comparison was nonsense. Neil McCann is a player I'd have had in my team before Miko or Kanchelskis every time, he was one of the last proper wingers we had. To compare him to Wright is embarrassing. Laudrup and Gary Stevens were a league above, but your other assertions are drivel mate. As for being realistic about our situation, yes I'm well aware of our situation, but it doesn't stop me from being disappointed, I'm sure many other fans feel the same, while being well aware of our current status.7 points

Kyiv are no great shakes ,Partizan must've been absolutely rank rotten .4 points

Matondo's pace is a real weapon but the lad has no idea what to do half the time once he gets into good positions. I did hope he would have improved that decision-making by now but, going by Saturday's cameo, he's worse. Add in his injury proneness, he's been another woeful signing...4 points

We keep degrading the scum for there flags their paedophiles and other things then a section of mindless thugs bring down our high stance so regrettable.4 points

What a depressing story this is. It besmirches our club and fanbase and quite frankly makes me furious. I hope the club bans them.4 points

But he doesn't do "nothing else". Watch the goal again. He's the least of our problems - full backs are more of an issue, CB more of an issue, lack of a proper number 6 is more of an issue, lack of a #10 is more of an issue, playing Scott Wright is more of an issue, and lack of another fit striker is more of an issue. Currently, Dessers is the only player we have that even looks like scoring.3 points

Did far better than i expected, given we were two men down the first half with Lawrence and Wright.3 points

Disagree, deserved draw. Slack passing aside thought we were the better team.3 points

Disagree. Their goal was from a mistake; we created 3 good chances. Jefte- they could not handle him.3 points

We've all been there...but perhaps not just prior to refereeing a high level football match. 🤣3 points

Matondo might come into his own in this leg, pace makes defenders do funny things. That's a bastardisation of a Michael Holding quote but it's apt. And we lack it upfront. Funnily enough plenty of Rangers fans try and convince you that pace doesn't work in Scotland. Got to be one of the biggest myths going.3 points

It wasn't a great performance, and Kiev aren't as good as some made our after their demolition of Partizan. However, the team kept going til the very end and secured a good draw, keeping us well in the tie, perhaps favourites to progress. Cyriel Dessers - he takes some flak, but he puts the ball in the back of the net - when nobody else is chipping in. He may not be the perfect Rangers no9, but he deserves more credit than he gets IMO.2 points

Only having 1 fit striker isnt funny but its reality and hardly Dessers fault. Sakala? Or did I imagine 2 sitters / open goals against Celtic? First Rangers striker to score 20 goals in a season since Miller and Boyd. Aye, but he's rotten.2 points

Butland - decent Tav and Ridvan - rotten Sottar and Balogun - iffy / so so Diomande - hot and cold Barron - decent for his age / inexperience Lawrence - rotten Wright- rotten McCausland - better than Wright and Lawrence Dessers - the 🐐 Jefte, Cerny, Sterling all contributed when they came on and improved us.2 points

A very good result which will help a lot with building confidence.2 points

Delighted to get a draw in the end. Thought we finished the better side by far. I think everyone was wary of Kyiv following their demolition of Partizan Belgrade but there’s still a bit of work to do in this tie yet.2 points

What a buzz. We played decent ish in spells. Manager needs to sort his selection and subs out though. Bring them back to Ibrox...2 points

Not sure what’s worse the starting XI or the options from the bench. How is Lawrence still on?2 points

For 35 minutes we were doing fairly well. Then we shat the bed, conceded and lost our heads. Watching that half I'm coming round to the idea that the manager might be right in what he's doing, it's just that the players simply aren't good enough. Wright and Lawrence have been 2 men down and Ridvan probably worse than that.2 points

Can't help but like the wee man. Tidy in possession and proactive when needs be. More than good enough in rotation imo.2 points

Big Dado was so much more than a goalscorer though, had a proper football brain, creative, a hardy bastard and an absolute talisman.2 points

The Gersnet line up is much better than the one selected. No Sterling - baffling.2 points

The stated team leaves me most worried. Sincerely, I hope my fears are unfounded. However, I am taking position behind the sofa and have decided to view through cupped hands and crossed fingers.2 points

Worth saying that if it's unanimous amongst the fanbase that selections are wrong it rarely is disproven on the pitch. Clement has made some bizarre choices of late.2 points

Have you not watched us in Europe the last 6 year? I have hope, not much but a wee bit. The fear is seeing that dejected performance though. Maybe you're right and I need to be a bit more Presbyterian about the ordeal.2 points

We're clever people. I'm sure we could understand your point if you made...in fact you have done...again. Yet again, you've claimed that in the war against the nazis that the wrong side won. Maybe you're trying to be oh so clever but if something looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck.... If you wanted to stay on the site then you should care what Frankie thinks. 👋2 points
