  1. These articles never seem to show direct proof so I'm going to close this until such time there is.

  2. I said at the end of the last transfer window that the failure to recruit a striker who has genuine aerial ability was a major oversight because it was clear our style of play relied on crossing and that we had several very capable crossers in the squad. Both Morelos and Lafferty are average to poor in the air and 99% of our many many crosses go absolutely nowhere at the moment. So I hope if we scouted Eaves that he was one of many forwards we are looking at who are strong in that area because what a difference it would make to our squad.

  3. It absolutely amazes me how people wax lyrical about what Jeremy Corbyn would do and how much better he would be. Such a wonderful socialist who pulls a sizeable 6 figure salary and a very healthy pension. Indeed, he is such a moralistic person.... Jeremy Corbyn reckons he would have gotten a good deal for Britain on Brexit - his statement, on that issue alone, should be enough to tell you that he isn't to be trusted. NOT ONE UK Parliamentarian would have gotten a "good deal" from the EU. Only my opinion but I personally believe that Jeremy Corbyn is at least as dangerous as the "corporate takeover of democracy" that others believe is Satan himself.

  4. We haven't the money to buy successful centre-forwards at the higher end other than in 'smaller countries' (eg. Finland). A good scouting network/contacts/luck is essential.

  6. https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.bbc.co.uk/news/amp/uk-scotland-43405448There you have it - the Catholic Church in Scotland can openly admit that they knew of crimes and didn’t report them, but sent the perpetrator abroad. They are now officially able to operate outwith the law of this land.I guess we already knew that when the police excused them for the bodies of hundreds of children that were inconveniently stumbled upon. Absolutely disgusting organisation and a real danger to Scotland.

  8. https://mobile.twitter.com/HannahB4LiviMP/status/1072174345701740551 SNP Minister is “shaking with rage” at the Brexit deal. So being a professional grievance chaser, she film herself. Whilst forgetting to apply that rage to the hand she’s using to film herself. They are hilariously inept.

  10. They are aware. As you say, it's the party line to ignore it. Which makes you wonder why any decent person would vote for them?

  11. Exactly. It's a conundrum that the Scottish Nationalists (see, I refrained from the old adage...) cant appropriately explain - particularly when you consider the following : 1. They wouldn't be independent at all, only independent within the UK. They would still be tied to the EU, being dictated to on many policies. I guess they would argue that they would only have EU dictating policy rather than EU AND Westminster 2. The vast majority of Scottish trade is with the rest of Britain. So it seems they want to be independent of the rest of the UK, but not independent of other European member states.... and that they want to cut themselves adrift from their major trade partner. I'm sure there are benefits somewhere though.

  12. That would mean Independent from UK but included in EU?? How is that independence, its just getting into a bigger bed.

  17. Possibly true, but I’m pretty sure Corbyn will have unleashed a litany of alternative terrors and disasters on us, many of which are aluded to within that article.

  18. Davis would be one experienced creative midfielder added to a barren list. So no harm here. He won't be here for eternity either, so I can't see much reason in any "step back" mantraism. Eaves ... whether rumour or not, he looks like an English power-house centre forward a la Hateley that might be needed to pummel the Scottish defences in the way required. With him or any other striker, we have to adopt tactics that suit him and preferrably a second striker. Waghorn, Garner, Cummings, Herrera were all misused in that lone-striker role of a 4-3-3, which time and again failed to reap rewards.

  20. Sometimes I think we are both the 'best' and the 'worst' support. The board need to stay strong and four square behind the SG project. SG&Co also need to learn quickly and adapt where necessary.

  21. I think that’s an excellent point. I thought Middleton kept receiving the ball at Aberdeen with his side of the pitch already crowded, whereas with Halliday on he was receiving it in space. Our strongest left side imo would be Murphy and Barisic. With an overlapping fullback with proper world class crossing, a right footed left winger is a good idea to run in and create space and Murphy has the quality and intelligence to make it really work. I think that’s why people are misguided to think that we’d get the best out of Barisic as a wing back. He’d have far more space behind a winger who pulls away the full back.

  22. I knew EXACTLY what I voted for. To leave the EU. If you want to stick Diane Abbott, Boris Johnson and Mhairi Black on a political pedestal ("They know better than me."), that's entirely up to you. I wouldn't recommend it though.

  24. The key to 'best player ever', 'world class' etc is consistency. And Messi has consistency been the best player on the planet (i dare not say globe ? ) for over a decade now and he is certainly in the contention for best player ever. But comparing players from different generations is so difficult especially in Tennis. Can you imagine Maradona playing on the bowling green surfaces now with advancements in boots and balls etc along with off the field things and not getting hacked. Could Messi have done what Maradona did and taken a 3rd / 4th best team in the country to two titles at the same time as 2 WC finals with one win!? Too difficult to say. But I try to think if Messi could go to say a Sevilla or Valencia and win them the title like Maradona did with Napoli with AC Milan and Juventus being the power houses. There is no wrong or right answer for best player, its an opinion and can only be decided by ones opinion. I prefer to keep to players I saw / watched and Maradona wins it for me. Messi has moved into second place though. Id probably say Ronaldo now is up there in my top 5 with Zidane and the Real Ronaldo.

  25. Cameron should have invoked Article 50 the day after the referendum and we should have been negotiating from WTO up not EU down. It has been one capitulation after another which is to be expected when your negotiating team are a bunch rabid Europhiles.
