Titter, is that the same Spectator that publishes, ahem, opinion columns by people ranging from James Delingpole to Nick Cohen? Not sure that it is the Spectator that is one eyed and lacking credibility.3 points

They trebled on him at one point but that’s fine if the others have the wherewithal to use the space and these teams have figured out we don’t. The Candeias Tav partnership for example has ground to a halt. I can’t help thinking Barisic hamstring is causing him issues either physical or mental. He’s just not extending himself down the flanks. It’s as if he’s protecting himself. It’s not got the look of a regenerated post winter break team that’s for sure. Tragedy is Celtic are pysh.3 points

It’ll be the final nail in the coffin for SG soon if he keeps playing Defoe up front on his own. He can’t play that role. He should have realised that after the SC game at Killie Reminds me of Murty who played JasonCummings up front on his own. That didn’t work either2 points

Genuinely Ian I’m scunnered with the whole affair. Its so blatantly biased from the officials. I was wondering again yesterday if it’s in some of our players minds too? I know it’s not an excuse but this must be demoralising for them too. They must see they are playing in a division where officials are influenced and will not allow them to win. On another note I detest that wee bigoted pr**k Walker. When I hear his voice I want to vomit. I still remember his rants about Rangers and their fans getting all they deserved. Also spouting pish about our club having to apologise for decades because of bad management and the new business (this happens on a regular basis daily all over the world btw). Horrible poisonous individual. So Lego muncher should not have been on the park to score in 91mins! Not mention of it anywhere so far??2 points

Any self-respecting billionaire has most of their assets listed offshore. Not to forget, this is how many of our multi-nationals manage to avoid paying their taxes but forget that and blame the welfare state scammers for the lack of public funds.2 points

Most sensible people would think we need to have some threshold; billionaire takes 999 cookies out of a pile of 1,000 then tells everybody that the one cookie left for you might be taken by an immigrant. We must have a heck of a lot of billionaires if that keeps Labour out.2 points

It was valid criticism of your cycloptic output. Anyone or anything that agrees with you is correct. Anyone or anything that disagrees with you is incapable of objectivity or is being led by corporations or nefarious evil-doers...yadda yadda yadda (I hope the Yiddish phrase doesn't offend you).2 points

I agree. It fits into my point: Five eminently winnable games, to set a marker, and we've not looked up to it; It's extremely frustrating. I thought Davis was done before we signed him. He was the missing link for many. His legs have gone, but I still think he can do a job further back. He's just not the #10 we need. Defoe needs to be supplied; he didn't get a sniff yesterday.2 points

After years of disappointment the Rangers eventually got their hands on the Scottish Cup on 17th February 1894 after beating Celtic 3-1 at Hampden. They were presented with the Cup in the Alexandra Hotel which stood at No. 148 Bath Street which today is the Pure Gym Centre. We have to bear in mind that the winning of the Scottish Cup in 1894 was still the pinnacle achievement for all Clubs, as the Scottish League was still very much in its infancy Rangers legend Tom Vallance( who is pictured standing on the back row) had this to say on the milestone reached by the Club, he wrote in the Scottish Sport. “It is with a true sense of delight that those who have followed the varying fortunes of the Rangers since their formation can now see their triumph, their name and fame shining throughout the land with a luster that they never before approached”. Tom presented each Rangers player with a gold scarf pin to commemorate this milestone in the Club’s history. Tom is pictured here with the proud Rangers Committee. Pictured with the victorious Rangers team is trainer John Taylor who’s unmarked grave we recently located in Craigton Cemetery. Mr Taylor’s plot will be restored as part of our Restoration of Rangers Graves Project.2 points

Reports of Labour plans to impose a ‘wealth tax’ on all assets over a certain threshold. That should ensure they never darken the door of No 10 again.1 point

Because nobody wants to give them 20p via the open market and King only made the offer because the Court mandated that he do so.1 point

After 4 decades of neoliberalism, yes, I think socialism is wonderful but you wouldn't know that it was if you read the corporation funded mainstream murdoch media that just prints smear after smear instead of objective journalism which it discourages at every opportunity.1 point

There is no traditional Labour Party and there cannot be under the stewardship of Corbyn and MacDonnell. In regards to the thread subject matter it's worth remembering the vile, disgusting, bullying campaign that Elsie and her fellow cultists waged to have Daisley sacked from the relative backwater of the STV website because he committed the heinous crime of holding them to ridicule. It's their own fault that Daisley's audience rose from single figure thousands to millions and millions.1 point

I'm sure it's easier to try to discredit the Spectator than break tradition and offer any original thought or coherent counterpoint. Clichéd comments about the blind leading the blind and other adolescent blabberings are even easier of course. When intellect fails, reach for comforting words ?1 point

The real issue is WHEN will we be in a position to win the League ? Celtic made a pigs ear of the summer transfer window (without spending much money) and the general discontent around their camp had them dropping more points in the first half of the season than the norm. But we were unable to take advantage because we were still behind them. In other words, we have room for improvement and I think SG&Co will take us on a level, but they do as well along with more financial muscle in summer 2019. I said the other day that the only way we will significantly move forward as a club is when and if we can bring through academy players that can progress quickly to excellence in the first team environment. Both for on-field and eventually off-field benefits (financial/transfer fees via player trading).1 point

Valid as the critic may be, preserving an essentially dying language (et al) will always get a - by proportion - greater share of attention and money. On a wee sidenote ... any football game by the lesser leagues or competition will be watched by an audience not fluent in the language spoken. Just because it is football on TV, it is their club that may hardly ever get TV attention elsewhere, or, indeed, because many are fed up with the garbage that filters from the half-empty SKY or BT or whatever commentators' and experts' brains through the microphones.1 point

Good choice, love that period of the Stones. I wanna rawk the Playschool vibe. I wonder children, whose hair is Sandy wearing today? Is it Keef's, Mick's, Bill's, Charlie's, or the other Mick's? Let's hope Sandy leaves by the arched window.1 point
