  1. I'd expect the front 3 to be Arfield, Morelos and Kent, and I'd be happy with that. Whilst Stewart helps open up packed defences, I don't think that will be the case at Parkhead and the extra pressing that Arfield brings will probably see him start before Stewart.

  2. A bit early to be thinking of the Parkhead game ?

  4. No it wouldn't. The current difference is 2. Had we won that game we would have 3 points more, making it 5. However, they would also have had 3 points less, making it 8. Had we won that game we would be on 24 points and they would be on 16. That is 8 of a difference, not the 5 you suggest.

  5. Funny if I was doing something like that I would prefer to do it from scratch.

  6. He’s been great for us as I expected, I think we should play him at the Piggery, he should start every match domestically right now. I feel we get too hooked on setting aside certain players for certain games, it’s maybe been a downfall for us, play your form players, he’s played against them before enough times regardless of the Old Firm being a game apart.

  8. As the manager himself has stated it's far too early to say which way it will go but it's definitely different from previous seasons. It was inconsistent results against lesser lights that killed it last season while this season the evidence suggests that will be less frequent. We're digging out results against the low blocks. I think we're more of an attacking force than they are and think they're too dependent on Edouard. He has a relatively spotted injury list for such a young guy missing 2 games here and there with injuries. From season 17/18 till now he has missed 16 matches through injury while our own iron man Alfie has missed 1 game in that same period and was only out for 5 days from Nov 27th to December 2nd 2017. And aside from the Edouard injuries he isn't all that consistent. It might be the season when they fail more against lesser lights than we do.

  9. Ok. Good luck if you did back us at 5/1 though! So far it is similar to Liverpool/Man City down south, ie the difference is we have been picking up points when we played bad, but celtic seem to drop them. I reckon they might pip us at the post this year, but we will use the disappointment to win it next year. Just a hunch..

  14. It can be genuinely difficult to keep the faith with all of our players all of the time. I'm not very good at it myself if I'm honest. But there's no doubting the old adage that if they wear the Rangers shirt they should have the Rangers support. Some days they'll play well, other times they'll let us down but as long as their hearts are in it they should always have our respect. Respect is everything.

  17. Watched the full game now. Normally you can't see past a hat-trick scorer but for me the fact is that without Stewart Defoe wouldn't have had a hat-trick. Stewart for me with his 2 assists and he was generally all over the place in a good way. Surprise of the season.

  18. Let me try. 'Elitist' meaning one who supports the 1% who control most of the world's wealth and also the public school elite in charge of the UK government; 'liberal' meaning to be in favour of anything which enables employers to exploit the labour of their workforce; and 'tory' is from the old Gaelic word meaning 'thief.' Put the 3 together and you have a recipe for Jacob Rees-Mogg, Boris Johnson et al and for added spice, stir in an oick called Dominic Cummings.

  19. Or due to other failures, like not shifting some players out of the door and one or 2 purchases?

  21. The Rangers Charity Foundation is inviting fans to help our local foodbank tackle poverty and hunger in south west Glasgow, by bringing groceries to Rangers’ next home match on Sunday 6th October against Hamilton at Ibrox. This year, the Foundation will be assisting Glasgow South West Foodbank, which aims to combat poverty and hunger by providing nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people. The Foundation has organised a food collection point to take place in the Fan Zone, where supporters will be able to drop non-perishable items off from 12pm until kick-off at 3pm. The South West Foodbank welcomes all kinds of non-perishable food items, but would be particularly pleased to receive donations of tinned meat, fish, fruit and vegetables, long-life milk, diluting juice, toilet rolls and sanitary products, as well as tea and coffee. Since the 1st April 2019, the Foodbank has shared over 6,200 food parcels with people in need in the south west of Glasgow. This season, the Foundation has also donated £10,000 to the Glasgow South West Foodbank, which will support both staffing and food costs. Foodbank Treasurer, Ian McGregor, said: "It can be a scary job being a foodbank treasurer as funding can be precarious for us, so I am relieved and we are all very grateful for the generous donation of £10,000 coming from the Rangers Charity Foundation. “This will enable us to extend the horizon for being able to pay our wonderful and totally indispensable sole employee, Claire, as well as being able to buy food, to top up any phenomenal donations we receive on Sunday from Rangers fans. Thank you!" Rangers Charity Foundation Director, Connal Cochrane, added: “The Foundation is delighted to be able to facilitate another foodbank collection at Ibrox, supporting people who live right at the heart of our community. “Over the last four seasons, Rangers fans have generously donated over 6.3 tonnes via our collections and we hope that this year, which is being held one day before the start of ‘Challenge Poverty Week’, will be the biggest yet! “We’re also proud to have donated £10,000 to the Foodbank and we hope that this will make a positive and lasting difference.” If you would like to help, but are not attending the game, the Foundation will accept food donations to its offices at Argyle House, Ibrox Stadium, during office hours between now and 5pm on Friday 4th October. If you have any questions please contact the Foundation on 0141 580 8775 or e-mail rangerscharity@rangers.co.uk. 23. People only judge players when they are on the ball. They don't(including me) see the work off the ball and the room they are creating for others.

  24. While I agree he's far from the finished article and his contribution looks negligible at times the only league match we've lost this season he didn't start, we've won every other match and at times are playing fantastic football. Perhaps his contribution is more tactical than someone like me can see.

  26. Family reasons, and to pursue other options. Wilson was approached prior to Allen's appointment, but turned us down saying it wasn't the right time. I think he wanted the system in place, rather than building it himself. Allen was able and willing to build the structure.
