  1. So they can’t slag his discipline, goals, overall play or attitude so they attack him for not giving himself up to a Scottish media that have done nothing but attack him since day 1. shameful article by a useless journo at a paper that hates us passionately. Ban the rhebel!!!!

  2. The record racially abused morelos and now they complain when he won't talk to him. Wow

  3. He's not doing a 'disservice' to this fan. I don't really want to hear from any of the players; particularly as they are doing their talking on the pitch.

  4. Hardly the end of the world, difficult match away after the break, but concerning we created practically no chances in 2nd half.

  5. Then really are ru ning out of things to attack him over. This is pathetic

  6. There's a 'love in' because a lot of the fans love him and it's fully understandable that he has been given plenty of leeway. I agree he needs a rest but not sure if the Porto game will be the time to drop him.

  7. I think I'm finally on board with the 'Tavernier needs to be dropped' bandwagon.

  8. Poor booking. Show his frustration in the dressing room - not against the officials who just want to book him. 36 and still hasnt grasped it.

  9. The SNP nationalists created a national police force called Police Scotland (or Polis Alba) but it more resembles Scot Squad than the Gardia Civil ??

  10. I thought he let Ichpeazu away with too many fouls before he eventually booked him. But that doesn’t excuse for our below par performance

  11. The ref was absolutely shocking today, nothing new there & tbh I expect it now. Before you all jump on saying the ref didn't influence the match, he did, they do. Nothing to do with how poor we were, but the standard is terrible

  13. The free kick at the end summed up the 90 minutes. Surely let Barasic have a dig from that or swing it in to a dangers area. Tav's deliveries all day were abysmal

  14. BTW, a wee word for big Connor Goldson. Often the target of some very unfair criticism, I thought he held us together today. Yes, he was as guilty as anyone of not using the ball well enough at times but I think only him, Davis (for a decent second half) and Morelos can really say they did well enough today.

  15. There was no danger there until that balls up. I'm really annoyed with Tav these days. That's another one that is just a case of him not thinking. I can accept a lack of luck or a misattemp at doing the right thing but he's making absolute howlers these days. His positioning there was terrible, otherwise he'd be running forward onto that. Grrrr.

  22. A bit like Sir Edmund Hillary once we got to the summit we didn't stay there long , need to do better than this .

  23. Tav needs dropped , it's quite obvious and clear. After the woeful goal he conceded, he didn't hit a pass or cross all match. 93rd min free kick edge of box, he has the bloody cheek to shove Barisic off the ball, in some sort of ego trip, and floats it right into the keeper. Guy's a liability.

  24. An off day is acceptable once every 6 or 7 weeks but Tav has had one in all of that period and cost us games. - That results in being dropped! I dont care who it is. Pull him aside and explain the situation. He is probably a bit stale at the moment and needs a refresher. So pull him out the side and make him come back better. These are the decisions Gerrard has to make at Rangers - no trialists here. It annoys me if he cant make a decision like this. The final minute he took a free kick into the box 1) id not have let him take it

  25. I was meaning in terms of the autocratic attitude that the unity of Spain is guaranteed by force; yesterday the police were hitting protesters with batons just as they did with Rangers supporters in 1972. It's not really a socialist government now - it all stems back to a deal they did when Franco was deposed. I lived in Spain for 2 years and concur with what 26th has said elsewhere. Denial of the right to complete autonomy to the Basques and the Catalans is that remnant; challenge that and you challenge the whole system. If no desire for an independent Catalonia exists, then why not just grant a legal referendum?

  26. Disappointing but I feared a hiccup today beforehand. Hearts were overdue some sort of result. Still level on points at the top so let's just get over it and move on.

  27. Tav probably deserves more chances because he's the captain but Gerrard really needs to send a signal to the squad that no one is bigger than the team and he has to drop Tav for the next game. I don't see any signals that Tav is suffering from a crisis of confidence. If he was I could understand Gerrard giving him multiple chances. He's just complacent and that will have a damaging effect on the others around him if he keeps his place. I was annoyed at McGregor in that game because he allowed his frustration with Tav to show through and it looked like he was deliberately making the riskier pass out to Barisic almost to make a statement that he would rather do that than send it out to Tav. I understand he's frustrated but that petulance needs to be dealt with too. On a brighter note it was good to see Kent back. I'd now like to see him and Ojo supporting Morelos because Arfield is another who is not performing to his standard this season.

  28. Hearts managed to drag Rangers into a battle, very physical game, could have been worse, point away from home

  29. Not good enough unfortunately. We were well off the pace for most of the game and got dragged into an agricultural game of long ball after long ball which meant our creative players were never in the match. Far too many gave the ball away cheaply as well though and our delivery from set-plays was generally poor also. A bad day at the office but could have been worse so let's move on quickly.

  30. Yeah, we know he's defensively suspect but his attacking game is now being affected.

  31. We’ve bee caught cold again. Should have known what to expect from a Hearts team fighting to get out of relegation zone. 20 mins left but we’re not creating much to give us any confidence here. We need something special. Cmon Gers!

  32. Richard Gordon has just said at HT and I quote “Katic has to stop crying and man up”? W@nker!

  33. Baffled me also. First five minutes there was an attack down the right and Arfield was in the half circle at the edge of the box.

  34. If we’re going to persevere with Tav then two things needs to happen. He needs to cut out these routine defensive errors and he needs to let someone else take corners. Personally I think with Barisic finally delivering it’s time we saw what Polster can do.

  35. He started poorly but then seemed to do a bit better for 20mins before struggling again towards the end of the half at times. Ikpeazu is a tricky customer though so I won't be too critical but Katic needs to decide whether or not to try to get in front of him or stand off a bit. There's no support if Ikpeazu does win it so not the end of the world if he does lose the odd contest which is inevitable. In saying that, we lost the goal from that exact situation so we definitely need to do better aerially.

  37. Game of few chances ... major stroke of luck for Hearts. Another game where Ojo, Arfield and Aribo do not work, no cohesion up there, no interplay ... you would hope we get Stewart soon. Dunno why far-travellers Arfield and Aribo went straight in. I await that one super cross or penalty from Tavernier to save his blushes in another sub-standard performance. Laughable that their No. 19, that black powerhouse, is still on the park. Floored Kamara hard and floored Barisic twice.

  38. Really frustrating that we didn't get started for 10-15mins, giving away another incredibly cheap goal in the process. Too many players seemed to start slowly and we also didn't have any shape - both Barisic and Katic struggled on the left side of defence for that opening spell whilst our midfielders (Aribo aside) couldn't get into the game at all. Fortunately, we managed to nab an unlikely equaliser and hopefully now we can use that as a platform to do a whole lot better in the second half. We really need a lot more from Ojo, Arfeld, Tav and Davis - all of whom haven't done enough to get on the ball or have used it poorly when they have. Suspect we'll also see Kent sooner rather than later.

  43. Reckon I jinxed that at half time then! But the French only themselves to blame - didnt take their chances when it was 15 v 15, missing two conversions (only needed one in the end) but getting a man sent off turned the game and allowed Wales to comeback.

  44. Not an answer but many years ago used to keep ALL Rangers team results with line-ups,scorers and other league results in the old hard back school issue jotters/books. Done this for 3 or 4 seasons then got fed up and dumped them, only now I realise what historic value they might have been. Anyway still an avid supporter.

  46. Dear Member, Following our notification yesterday that BBC Executive Complaints Unit (ECU) had upheld a complaint regarding Tom English’s tweet about our statement on crushing at Kilmarnock, BBC Scotland gave a quote to the Sun newspaper yesterday claiming that they had already partially upheld this complaint. This is the second time that BBC Scotland has issued a misleading statement to the public regarding complaints correspondence with Club 1872 in the past 6 months. The previous instance in August was addressed in our statement here. The following are direct quotes from the correspondence we received from BBC Scotland regarding this part of our complaint prior to the escalation to ECU. In response to our initial complaint in August, BBC Scotland said, “BBC Sport Scotland senior staff have discussed this with Tom, and we acknowledge your concern at the tone and language of this tweet and that it wasn’t appropriate.” In response to our follow up complaint to BBC Scotland their response in September was “Again, we acknowledge the first-hand accounts of crushing outside Rugby Park, and your concern at the tone and language of Tom English’s tweet and that it wasn’t appropriate.” At no point in correspondence did BBC Scotland state that they had upheld or partially upheld our complaint. Acknowledging Club 1872’s concern at Mr English’s behaviour is not the same as upholding the complaint and expressing their own concern at his behaviour. In fact, BBC Scotland performed their usual mental gymnastics to deny that Michael Stewart, Tom English and others on Sportsound had deliberately presented a myth to the public that supporters were not endangered at this game. If BBC Scotland are now claiming to the press that they have upheld our complaint regarding the tweet from Tom English, which led to a torrent of personal and sectarian abuse directed at our volunteer board members, then why is the tweet still on his timeline and why has there been no apology issued by Mr English and BBC Scotland? Is it the BBC Scotland position that, despite claiming to have upheld the complaint, there is no requirement for an apology and retraction? Is it the BBC Scotland position that even when they agree that their standards have been breached they do not need to remedy the situation? As usual, their position is to fight tooth and nail to avoid the further embarrassment of yet another apology for the ingrained hostility within Pacific Quay towards Rangers and Rangers supporters. Club 1872 will therefore direct these questions to the ECU in the hope that some action will finally be taken. Mr English should apologise to Club 1872 and Rangers supporters publicly and BBC Scotland should apologise for once again attempting to mislead the public regarding their position on one of our complaints. Issued by Supporters Voice Limited, a Club 1872 company Club 1872
