  1. Seven years at Her Majesty's pleasure for us. Usage of "H*n" or "Orange b@stard" will see the perpetrator given a round of applause at the next SNP conference.

  4. Even a Paisley reject can occasionally be right. Most of us were saying that in January. Just to be clear, celtic can’t be champions, only winners of a curtailed competition.

  5. Can't see the problem. I don't think Nike, Adidas etc actually manufacture anything. I assume all the various labels simply place a manufacturing order with a third party to produce and distribute the product. I imagine Castore could do this as well as anyone.

  6. If you look them up you will find Andy Murray is a shareholder in what is a relatively new company who hope to break into bigger markets, they have no football connection at present AFAIK.

  7. The only thing I'd say about that is I'll be stunned if the new retail operation doesn't benefit Rangers by more than the £5m per season mentioned. Perhaps the biggest failing at the club over many years, and certainly stretching further back than the troubles of 2012, has been the failure to fully realise the commercial potential of one of the biggest supports in football. There's a huge market out there but it needs cultivating and it needs to be offered more than a pin badge, a few coffee mugs and clothing that doesn't survive the first wash. Without an integrated marketing strategy, professional brand development and a sales network to match, we will continue to underachieve. These are the things I'm looking to emerge from this fresh start. One of the best things I heard in the recent interviews, and there were many good things, was the decision finally to fully digitise the commercial activity of the club because without this fundamental change to how we interact with the support here and abroad we will struggle to grow. I just hope this also includes a dramatic improvement in how we sell the football product, so that every supporter can access and enjoy watching their team on the park - we need to take this way beyond the 50,000 in the stadium. Rangers TV is a decent offering but it could be vastly better and needs a big shake up.

  9. Best quote or take on all this I’ve seen, paraphrased perfectly I feel similar but you have put it in words - perfectly

  10. I just read the latest SPFL statement out today. Apparently Ann Budge is wrong ... clubs were given "an advance" four years ago ... not a loan. LAUGH OUT LOUD. Who the hell is writing these statements and why did they think that would help?!? They just keep digging themselves a bigger hole. So it's not ok to give clubs a loan but they can get an advance. Wait a minute, I though that they couldn't get an advance. Has anyone else lost track of how many times these halfwits have changed their story. Scottish football is a joke, and the clowns are in charge. I'm so embarrassed and yet I'm just a fan. Imagine actually being on the board. Imagine being the chairman. Imagine being the CEO.

  11. It's great news but not really a surprise. When Rangers and SD were trading minor court wins last year I said that this was normally what happened when leading up to a negotiated settlement. Both sides were just trying to strengthen their negotiating positions. There was one particular win for SD last year that made me realise we were close to the beginning of the end, and that's turned out to be the case. What is clear though is that we have escaped his clutches at last and it's surely a great day. Dave King deserves so much credit for this and he will definitely have a smug grin on his face today.

  12. I'm shocked. I guess some sort of payoff has been made, but even so, it's still great to be finally rid of him. Great news!

  13. It is always interesting to read this, but you wonder where those club's were when the EGM request was cast and where they will be at the EGM?

  14. They've been sponsoring a stand at the Scumhut for years and print the Celtic View, so no real inquisition needed for that question.

  15. Tom English is a foreign journalist and his wages are funded by the BBC licence fee, which is paid by UK citizens. Gregory Campbell is a democratically elected UK MP. I think it shows how low PQ has sunk when someone like English says something like that about a Member of Parliament.
