  1. Any talk of their weaknesses leaves me a wee bit uneasy to be honest. As soon as you walk into one of these games thinking you have the upper hand because they have players missing, it sends out alarm bells for me. Hopefully SG will drill it into his players the lessons from last season where everybody had us as a sure thing for the first OF game as they had players missing. We ended up losing 2-0 and never kicked a ball. FFS even Johnny Hayes scored for them. That should be our lesson there

  2. That’s Elhamed confirmed as positive. Funny how the only two Israel players to test positive were Celtic players. Surely it’s not a coincidence Edouard was positive too joining the French camp.

  3. As amusing as this is I think if we'd lost 4 players during the international break we'd be a bit hacked off too. International football always runs the risk of players picking up injuries or losing form after traveling long distances, I can remember when McCoist broke his leg playing for Scotland. It would a pleasant surprise if all of our players returned without any of them picking up a niggle far less anything more serious. Personally I think it's very contentious playing international football in the current climate. Players at clubs can exist in some sort of bubble, and so European club football can continue within those parameters. But pulling players together from all over the world for a few weeks is a recipe for disaster. Playing a depleted Celtic side has obvious attractions, but I'm uneasy about this. I also think it's a tremendous incentive for them, they're gradually building a siege mentality and convincing themselves the organisation they control is out to get them. I'd love it if Gerrard said that if Celtic don't want to play us this weekend we don't mind waiting until they've got all their players back. It would kill any claims of unfairness in an instant and would move the psychological edge back in our direction. If Lennon doesn't think he can beat us, at home, with the size of squad they have, he's got big problems.

  7. Oh well, Sellik Supporters Association Chair, Joe O’Rourke will be utilising his green crayon soonest. Michael Stewart will be demanding another ninety minutes on BBC Scotland, because Peter told him to do so. Once again, Neil Doncaster and Mike Mulraney stand ready to once again support Michael, because a Peter told them to do so. Motherwell Director, Andrew Wilson is compiling a Dossier reference Steven Gerrard, this will be submitted to Humza Useless. All predicated upon a barrel of oil retailing for $115. Jum Spence wants Gerrard prosecuted under the Proceeds of Crime law. Margaret Ferrier is prepared to travel once again by train to Westminster, to lay down an early day motion. Spiers next Podcast will be a chat among fellow Yahoos sitting either side of him and his lads in the Lisbon Lions stand, the topic being, ‘Succulent Lamb and a Devil Worship’. In the week of an old firm game ............

  10. Rangers are a desirable asset even before this proposal and I wish it had happened before now - the migration of Rangers - not this half baked proposal from Fenway Group and the Glaziers. The other teams in the PL would never back this as any two of them would lose a PL place and the parachute payments would end. Would be like turkeys voting for Christmas.

  11. Update. We recently met with the Great Grandson of John Barker. Last Saturday his stone at Craigton Cemetery was cleaned and a memorial plaque placed at the base.

  12. That must end any notion of Rangers or any other team in Scotland joining the EPL. If there were to be a greater reduction than two of the league members there might have been a chance of a new UK league of Fulhams, Burnleys, West Broms and the like ejected from the EPL and Sheffields and Birminghams etc from the Championship. They might think Rangers would be a desirable asset.

  14. Yes but you are right that we shouldn’t get ahead of ourselves. We have dropped points away from home to sides far worse than a slightly weakened Celtic side.

  15. We’d like to sincerely thank everyone who followed followed in the footsteps of our Founders today all in the aid of the Restoration of Rangers Graves Project. It was a glorious day in Glasgow as we made our way from Fleshers Haugh to Burnbank to Kinning Park and finally home to Ibrox.Along the route we stopped at a few locations and told the incredible story of those kids who formed the worlds greatest football club. A wonderful 8.5 miles completed without the aid of a refreshment break! ? All monies raised will be duly counted and the grand total posted. Thanks to all again.
