  1. David Martindale has began his BBC Radio Scotland full time interview with Jane Lewis saying, "A sore one to take, but we got lucky in the first half. I've seen the incident back and it was a penalty". Both Liam McLeod and Michael Stewart should listen.

  2. What a result that is! Yes, we didn't play well but we were by far the better team and only poor finishing/decision-making/refereeing stopped us winning more comfortably. Livi offered next to nothing but well done to the defence who stood firm to the long ball/throw. Delighted for Alfie to be the match-winner: a tap in but the quality of the build up can't be denied with Kamara and Davis being the surprising assists. Four points left. Just four to go!

  3. See when the scum win 1-0... it's worse than them winning comfortably. Everything has to be taken into consideration when assessing football. Their suffering brings me great joy.

  4. Nearly there.....going to be very emotional for all of us when it happens. We’ve been to hell and back. Now we’re almost champions again ?

  7. Schalke is tumbling towards the same status for a few years now, only that this time around they may not avoid the drop. Which status? That of a club that has a large support and is seemingly well run from the base to just below the first team, management and business part. Especially Hamburg is in that stasis bubble of a sleeping giant that they can`t get out of (and methinks they are fan-/membership owned). You wonder whether our club thinks about that "partnership" a bit more and sends some of our u20s players out on loan for half a year, since I would assume that even training and playing with HSV and their u23s will give them more than plying their trade with Queen of the South et al. AS LONG as they also get game time, of course.

  8. Ten years they've laughed at us and mocked us. Understandable, given we're the most successful club in football. However, some of the actions, comments and behaviour of many we might expect better of have demonstrated how much we are hated and how much standards in Scotland have fallen (denigrating opponents is more fulfilling than being successful, apparently). In the space of twelve months, we have gone from crisis to a team on the verge of winning a title we thought we might never hold again (and having a terrific run in Europe). The players, management and custodians of Rangers FC all deserve much credit but the fans have really shown how loyal and true we are during the toughest period in the club's history. I can't wait to actually win the title but I can feel it already and it feels great. Cheers.

  9. Just said on a chat that when we win 55 I'm gonna be insufferable (Yeah I know, I already am ?‍♂️??), gloating arsehole. 10 years of taking abuse from fans of all clubs, the but of jokes, ridiculed and let's face it, most wanted us dead. Well we aren't dead, far from it. It may have taken longer than we all wanted but to coin a phrase, our time is coming. As well as my planned celebratery tour of Scottish SPFL grounds (Yeah I still plan to do this once restrictions are lifted), i'll gloat from now until this time next season and hopefully beyond, lets face it, we've got a lot of pay-backs due.

  10. Can’t agree guys, I love nothing more than an at least 5 goal victory with great football on show. These turgid 1-0 affairs only give me some relief when the FT whistle goes, and you can’t really enjoy them until that point.

  11. I can't decide if I like winning more when we get dodgy decisions or when we don't get decisions. Either way, I like winning.

  14. Interesting that Andy Walker said during commentary that you can appeal yellow cards for "simulation". Expect us to be on phone to SFA headquarters 1st thing tomorrow to appeal Alfies yellow and the gaffers 2 yellow which came as a consequence of Beatons "error". Look forward to getting Beaton as ref for all of our remaining fixtures ?

  29. When even Andy Walker calls it a stonewaller, added to the several hundred bad decisions previously given by the cheat, you got to wonder why he isn’t called out on it by our club?

  31. The 2nd and even the 3rd BL unearthes the odd good and talented player, i.e. one that you will find in a BL side soon enough. As for Hamburg and Schalke, it seemingly does not click with management and players, even though Schalke, IIRC, do have some serious financial restrictions / issues, despite being sponsored by Gazprom a wee while back. I have to admit that I do not follow German football very closely, apart from 1. FC Union Berlin`s results, as that`s one of the former low-key East German clubs that have made it into the BL and doing surprising well despite being hardly up there with the big-guns money and crowd-wise. Apart from being my home-town* team. IMHO, below the top 3 or 4 teams in the BL, it all depends on the management structure and clever transfer deals and youth development. Far too many clubs dilly-dally around or spend money unwisely, sometimes the high-ups chop and change with trainers (i.e. the "managers" in Britain) too often. * Hertha Berlin is another one of those "sleeping giants", who can`t get their act together for more than half a season. They - like Schalke - recently sacked most of their upper strata, which might change fortunes a little ... well, next season. Not that I care about Hertha.

  32. Roy Greenslade deserves his own thread, it should run and run. As JohnMc has alluded, Greenslade intervened when Jum Spence and his wife, out for an evening stroll, had a Rangers supporter shout abuse at them from across the road. Jum was traumatised, and reported the incident to the Police. Several years later, we can only assume inquiries are continuing? Greenslade empathising with Jum and complaining bitterly about consequences faced because of outspoken support for perceived unpopular causes is an outrage. Born and bred in Dagenham with no connection to Ireland, he was a member of the CPGB as a teenager. Now, when the split occurred between the Official IRA(the stickies) and the Provisional IRA(the Provos), the CPGB sided with the Stickies, peaceful resolution through the ballot box. Roy supported the Provos because he liked his hole. Roy's relationship and subsequent marriage to Irish Journo, Noreen Taylor explains a lot. Roy enjoyed the rewards of a base instinct, his constant, casual dismissal of others' rewards of an even baser instinct, ie life because they disagreed with his mates, is how he should be remembered. Roy had a column in the Provos newspaper, An Phoblacht(under the nomme de guerre George King) for decades. He targeted, taunted, and teased the civil authorities. Roy is a Hector. Dr Joe Hendron SDLP MP for Belfast West called out Gerry Adams et al, "a sectarian and fascist organisation". Such free speech was too free for Roy, Hendron was targeted as a working GP. This is a Rangers supporters forum, why is Greenslade worthy of scrutiny? When you hear Cosgrove make repeated statements such as, "ah don't get it, Rangers supporters are on the sidelines, raging and beeling" - that is a direct attempt to remove our voice. We have nothing worthy to say and Cosgrove utilises this to ridicule and target PQ colleagues who continue to support Rangers. Remember, Cosgrove has three former Rangers supporting mates who stopped their support because Rangers are no longer the same club. He is telling us the road to take, just like we should forget the Rangers Tax Case Blog. Roy came to hate through expediency and it has provided him with a very good standard of life. The relatives of his victims can mourn opportunities lost, Roy will find warmth in his property portfolio.
