  1. Nothing but good things to say about the team after that today. Incredible work-rate despite well down personnel wise and showed fantastic pride to get a draw. Just a pity we couldn't quite get the winner our play deserved.

  2. Let's go!! Even a draw here would be a moral victory IMO

  3. Young Lowry should get a run out? wouldn't weaken the team

  4. That's the positive to take here. There was a point where I think we all feared that Gio might crash and burn, but he's steadied the ship and got us moving in the right direction. Postecoglou had a rotten run initially when he took over and so did GVB, it's the form during the rest of the season where they've edged it. The timing of SG's departure certainly didn't help things.

  5. Biggest take from that was our fitness and desire. We were first to most second balls in the 2nd half (like the Cup semi) and most of their attacking play was down to misplaced passes by us.

  6. We weren't quite good enough but it was close. Officials were again utterly murder. That should give us some confidence though going into Thursday.

  7. Or switch with Aribo? the front 3 should be continually switching

  8. I'm genuinely shocked by that remark.

  9. And remember…… when shooting today, all shots to Joe Hart’s left hand side 🤠

  10. Decent starting XI. I don't get the 'it's a nothing game' attitude. Sounds like people are getting their excuses in early, which is not The Rangers way.

  11. Two Free Bites. Last Wednesday, BBC Scotland screened the Youth Cup Final between Rangers and Hearts. The commentator was Andy Bargh and, Michael Stewart provided the snide and sneering. Rangers started well, could have been four up in the first dozen minutes but, for wonderful goalkeeping by Hearts Liam McFarlane. However, the young Bears persevered and, were rewarded with two goals by McInally and Rory Wilson. Leading two nil at half time, Rangers opted to manage the second period, Steven Naismith pushed his charges a further twenty yards up the pitch. Hearts spirited attempts continually failed inside the Rangers box. Ten minutes to go and Michael Stewart launched into a ninety second appraisal of Rangers youth players. He named Nathan Patterson, Leon King, Rory Wilson, Alex Lowry, ...... etc and asked, "where's the pathway to the Rangers first team"? Michael answered his own question, "if they want to develop like Billy Gilmore they have to move south". Andy Bargh countered, "we want to keep young talent in Scotland"? Michael concluded, "particularly at Rangers there is no clear pathway to the first team". I have no doubt Michael would have continued to snarl and bite but, in the 81st minute Hearts scored. Rangers won the game 2-1 and thus, secured the cup. The reason I mention this is Michael Stewart is showing a clear pattern of behaviour. He waits until near the end before baring his teeth because he knows it's harder to counter. Michael does not want debate, he prefers to proclaim and, it is premeditated. Yesterday on Sportsound, the soon Saturday retired, BIG Dick announced there would be a five minute discussion on Rangers continued Euro success. Big Dick laid out the facts of the game in Leipzig, Red Bull scored late but it was a deserving goal. Wullie Miller noted Rangers parked the bus, it was a bit more like Walter Smith's Euro run in 2008, Rory Loy thought Rangers still had opportunity at Ibrox, Alan Preston felt Leipzig would be as dangerous in Glasgow. Before Big Dick pulled the guillotine, Michael cleared his throat for another unchallenged proclamation, "Rangers can win this trophy, they need to win it. If they do not, then there will be a fire sale at Ibrox this close season". Clearly, this was premeditated, most Tabloids had his, 'Rangers are fcuked' proclamation on their digital front pages last evening. It was the final broadcast thought and again, went unchallenged. Where is Michael's reference? I suspect it is Phil McFournames? Surely, PQ are not allowing their preferred attack dog to continually take bites based on the outpourings of a slabbering idiot based on coastal Donegal? Well, if there is a fire sale; does that mean there is now a clear pathway to the first team for Rangers youth players? I am sure Michael will tell us today.

  12. Fearing the worst today. The league has gone. Genuinely think too many minds will be on next Thursday night

  13. Well, I'm wide awake and raring to go. Let's put these scumbags in their place today, Rangers. 🟥⬜🟦

  14. Proud of the spirit displayed today. Said it before and I'll say it again, we have far too many players on our payroll who can't go 10 games uninjured. This needs sorted in the summer pronto. Delighted Sakala got his goal he's an infectious lad. Always gets me how we've had class strikers in the past who bottle it at parkhead but then Sakala walks on and slams one in the net. One other thing, I cannot recall a game in which Ange has managed where at least two players haven't hit the deck holding their calves or hamstrings. He's going to burn his squad out.

  18. You should know by now that you can't criticise any player unless it's the ones that dB doesn't rate, like Tavernier and Kent...

  19. That`s 11 swallows now, not bad for a "winger", 5 short of Roofe, 8 of Morelos.

  20. As I said, didn't see the game but sounded like our patchwork squad were unlucky. However, a quick look at stats - they had 1 shot on target resulting 1 goal, we had 5 shorts on targrt resulting in 1 goal. Been same all season, need to be more clinical.

  21. The aim of the game is to score when a chance occurs. Just look at Chelsea at Utd in midweek, golden chances spurned and had to share the points in a one sided game. Gers will get other chances this half, it is up to someone to keep cool and finish. Easier said than done i know, but definitley doable against this mob.

  22. You may have a point regarding Kent, but players of limited football ability like Sakala should be nowhere near our team.

  23. Hate to mention refs but there have been a few occasions when he should have blown for very obvious free kicks IMO

  24. Considering our starting personnel I thought we did ok. Is it worth trying Itten on for Sakala and Aribo out right? We've had some decent possession but it's evident we are missing a front line. Sakala is not good enough.

  25. I am calm, but look at our starting 11 and bench. We are down to bare bones and that's down to not investing - simples Was commenting on the state of our squad, not the state of the performance / game.

  26. We did fine up until their goal but the lack of presence in attack was stark too often. We then lose a dreadful goal where their winger takes an identical chance ours spurned. Still well in the game but we really need to show more composure up front if we're to create and score goals.

  27. Calm down. Last night you were criticising people for being negative. It’s a tight game, one chance missed, one chance taken. The game is far from lost.

  28. Sakala is a really poor footballer, all he’s got is speed but does not have the brains to use it.

  29. Kent had 2 good chances and squandered them, they score with their first after doing hardly anything. Sakala playing far too deep. Stop laying into Borna. He´s no worse than anyone else.

  30. A little late with this, but... What are your thoughts, folks?

  31. Folk saying he had a great save when arfield and tav then sakala all had efforts in the semi final. Not the case, Tavs shot actually comes off post and harts hand actually diverts ball to Sakala for his overhead kick effort. He's a bid coo and we should be testing his left hand side with more shots from distance.

  32. A wee bit surprised at deploying such a strong side but I guess the focus is and should be to win and apply as much pressure as we can on Celtic. Should be an open, exciting game. Come on Rangers!

  34. We apparently look at Scott Twine (22) of MK Dons. Going by his stats, he`s exactly the versatile attacker we should aim at. He`s been "on our radar" earlier this year ...

  35. If we didn't have the Semi final on Thursday, I don't think we need excuses and i would fancy us to win. However, the players have a bigger game coming up and will not go into this game with the zest and determination knowing an injury could rule them out of the biggest game of their careers. I could be wrong and 2nd gear will be enough to win, but i just don't see it.

  36. Glad Wright is not starting. Airfield could be key. Hopefully Sakala can step up.

  39. No there isn't. It's exactly the same people who have always been addicted to negativity. They were there when I started following Rangers and they'll still be there after I'm gone. They exist at every club, in every workplace, in every community. People who are less able to rationalise disappointment will always emphasise the negatives. It's just how it is in life, people are far from equal.

  41. We blew the league ourselves a long time ago, and losing to them at Ibrox sealed it for me, I do still want to see a win from us and are very likely to do so but the problem is who else is going to beat them? still want to gub them at their midden
