  1. Been having a wee look at the wonderful Bert Kassies site and can see we are up to 34th in the club co-efficients list. No matter the result in Seville we climb to at least 29th for next season once our Progres disaster drops away. As one who was in attendance in Luxembourg on that embarrassing low point in our history, the transformation from there to here is of Hollywood proportions. For anyone wanting a look the link is here https://kassiesa.net/uefa/data/method5/trank2022.html

  2. Resting players is ok but we need the players to retain a competitive edge. We need to continue working hard on each match. Home matches should be a good chance to give Ramsey some game time ahead of the finals.

  3. Congrats to Scotty, can still play a part and we need to retain some players who know what it means.

  4. We tend to struggle after the winter break, which is... Three weeks? I think if we're not playing for 11 days, we'll see a difference, a drop off. That doesn't mean we should be playing our full strength team Sunday, Wednesday, Saturday; that's too far the other way, risking burn-out and injury. Just manage their game-time, making sure they are at peak performance. I would like to see some youngsters get a game. King and Lowry deserve a shot; McCann, perhaps; Zukowski, etc.

  5. Well, that was the week that was. 1. We begin the week with the Apologist, Michael Stewart utilising an unusual, hard to read format on his Twitter feed; to aplogise to Rangers, Rangers supporters and, Jim Traynor. 2. Rangers defeat RB Leipzig 3-1 at Ibrox in the Europa League semi-final to earn a place in the Europa League final. 3. Today, the Times announce they have decided not to renew the contract of Journalist, Graham Spiers. We are off to Seville and ra Bhoy in Corduroy(season ticket holder at ra Stade de Gadd along with his two sons these last three seasons) receives attention from the Spanish Archer. Graham continues to do a Podcast for a niche audience, he provides a service for ra Sellik-minded. This week he interviews Tom Devine about sectarianism, last week he interviewed the Apologist about hating Rangers and Rangers supporters. Joy of joys.

  6. https://www.youtube.com/c/LMCVlogs/videos This You Tube channel is great. It's run by a young Rangers fan and you can see his coverage of many of this season's games, including Thursday night. He does other teams as well, for example East Kilbride v Berwick Rangers, St Mirren v Dundee, Partick v ICT, Edinburgh semi-final and others. Well worth looking at.

  7. Rest the players who need it tomorrow and next weekend and play them midweek to keep their sharpness.

  8. Maybe the manager will be best placed to take these decisions.

  9. Definitely. Everyone should get at most just enough minutes to stay sharp.

  10. We need to find a balance between keeping the squad sharp and sensible rotation. If King, Lowry, Ramsey, Davis, Sands and the young Polish guy get game time tomorrow, I can't see that making a massive dent in our set up or chances of a victory.

  14. I clicked on the link and went to buy one, then one of the sign-up questions is what team do you follow with a drop down list of teams. Aberdeen Hibs Hearts all there alongside some absolute minnows from other countries but no Rangers. Binned.

  15. Not at all, I voted for the candidate closest to my own views. I think you should always vote for the candidate you would like to win rather than vote for another just to keep someone else out.

  16. This game is in 11 days , the players aren’t going to lose any sharpness by not playing 3 games in the next 7 days , Sunday , Wednesday , Saturday , they are however far more likely to pick up injuries imho .

  17. At least Klopp and the Liverpool fans are complaining about the ticket set up for these events. Not that it'll make a blind bit of difference... https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/61354435 Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has questioned why almost half the tickets for the Champions League final against Real Madrid are not allocated to the clubs. Klopp's side face the Spanish giants on 28 May and have 19,618 tickets to sell. That is 26.1% of the 75,000 capacity on the night at Paris' Stade de France. Klopp said: "Is it right that we only get 20,000, they get 20,000 and there's 75,000 in? That makes 35,000 left over. Where are these tickets?"

  18. The club should hire the biggest cinema in Glasgow to show the final , and a free bar to show their thanks to the fans ,it could be combined with some community singing . 🙄

  23. Watching on TV as the teams were coming out the tunnel last night to that cacophony of Ibrox noise sent a tingle down my spine. The close camera panning the Rangers faces showed a steely determination in them all. For some reason though, one player in particular caught my eye. His pose was slightly different from the rest. Hands on hips, his face scanned the crowd with a certain aura of assured confidence and belief. I had watched the same guy play last July in Birkenhead close to his birthplace. I had watched him crash and burn in the CLQ against Malmo at Ibrox a few weeks later when he was sent off and our CL qualifying hopes disappeared as quickly as he did up the tunnel. He continued to bemuse me and other fans up and to the turn of the year. In and out the team, good in flashes poor in others. With the January transfer window, quite a few on here said cut losses and sell. To be honest I wasn't opposed to that view either. I don't know what exactly changed. Gerrard wanted him and got his wish, but I feel that Gio has moulded him into key member of this team. I see a player now with a huge appetite and belief. A fierce competitor with a heart of a lion. A player with huge stamina and energy, who can adapt quickly to changes in formation and role. A man who knows what it means to wear that shirt and leave everything out there for the cause. Step up my man of the match John Lundstrum.👏👏👏

  24. Are you suggesting our best players should have no game time for 2 weeks? That would be a good way to guarantee losing the final. Rest a couple each league game but the players need to keep playing.

  25. So, here we have it SNP is ready to work with Sinn Fein, says John Swinney Kieran Andrews Scottish Political Editor Friday May 06 2022, 9.50am, The Times The deputy first minister suggested his party had more in common with Sinn Fein than with the DUP The SNP wants to work with Sinn Fein, Scotland’s deputy first minister said, as the Republican party was poised to be the largest in Northern Ireland. John Swinney said the “policy approach” of Sinn Fein meant there would be much more common ground for ministers at Holyrood to agree on with the favourites to be the senior partner in the Stormont power-sharing agreement. Since 2003 the Democratic Unionist Party (DUP) has taken the lion’s share of the Protestant vote, been the largest party and as a result had the right to nominate the first minister. They have shared power with Sinn Fein, which began its present incarnation as the political wing of the Provisional IRA during the Troubles, and has held the post of deputy first minister. Asked what Sinn Fein being the largest party in the Northern Ireland assembly would mean for Scotland, Swinney told Sky News: “I think what it would mean is we would have political leadership in Northern Ireland which was prepared to challenge the United Kingdom government on many aspects of its policy approach. “I think to be fair to the DUP they have been prepared to do that on certain questions but on some of the very important questions, less so. “So there’s an opportunity for us to work together to pressurise the UK government to ensure that they address the very real difficulties that people are facing in their lives today, particularly around the cost of living and to have an intervention that actually addresses the depth of the crisis that people are facing.” The Northern Ireland executive can legally function only if it is made up of representatives from both the main Unionist and nationalist parties. The need for consensus, compromise and power-sharing has made the assembly and executive vulnerable to long periods of suspension and political instability. Arlene Foster, the former Northern Irish first minister, claimed last year that the SNP was a “mirror image” of Sinn Fein, comparing the two parties’ belief in constitutional upheaval. In 2019 The Times revealed that senior SNP figures were in talks with Irish political parties, including Sinn Fein, over the effect of Brexit. Senior Scottish nationalists claimed the talks were positive and that Irish politicians were increasingly sympathetic towards the prospect of independence. https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/snp-is-ready-to-work-with-sinn-fein-says-john-swinney-c6mdrw9vk
