  1. Bluedell .I may be wrong on this but I was always under the impression we were just under the 50,000 average for c/l games . The figures I was always quoted by those inside ibroox was they banked on £6 million when corporate was taken into account . I realise there are costs however all the figures that we generally quote are all top line anyway . Also the figures quoted for getting out the group stages are not inclusive of tv revenue , that is only figured out , when the location of the teams are known and the percentages can then be worked out per country
  2. Bluedell will our ticket revenue not be higher , with 3 matches at roughly £30 each plus what we must take in via corporate I would have thought that £4million was a wee bit conservative. Also do you think that after the fiasco of the players bonuses for the uefa cup run , what are the odds that Bain has managed to sort this out , I'm all for the players profiting from success but not at the clubs expense ...
  3. I posted a question re-the tv money and this was the reply , very clever people over on Bert,s site . Are you talking about the Europa League or the Champions League? The €7.1M figure relates to the Champions League & is only for "participation". How much Scottish clubs will get from the market pool depends entirely on the value of their own TV market compared to all the others. Since new contracts were negotiated everywhere with some going up & perhaps others going down it's therefore impossible to say for sure. But Celtic & Rangers combined got €6.453M in 2007-08. If they keep the same percentage of the whole (2.36%) this would increase to €8.04M The Europa League figures for participation are much smaller - as would be the market pool. Since this is the first time the market pool has been shared by all 48 clubs I wouldn't like to guess how the €60M allocated for this might be shared out.
  4. Taken from Bert Kassies site According to Marko Vjetrovic who is the president of Partizan Belgrad and a member of the European Club Asscociation (ECA) the prize money for the UEFA club competions will increase. UEFA Champions League 2009/2010: Bonus for domestic champion: 200.000 € * 1st qualifying round: 130.000 € * 2nd qualifying round: 130.000 € * 3rd qualifying round: 130.000 € * Playoffs: 2.100.000 € * Group stage: 7.100.000 € Group match victory: 800.000 € Group match draw: 400.000 € 1st knock out round: 3.000.000 € Quarter-finals: 3.300.000 € Semi-finals: 4.200.000 € Final: 5.500.000 € Winning the final: 3.500.000 € * = These payments were only awarded to the clubs which quould not qualify for the UEFA Champions League group stage! Therefore Celtic do not get the 130,000 euros plus 2.1million euros plus the group stage money , that would be what they get should they get knocked out ( hopefully ) The remaining balance of € 341 million will be distributed according to the proportional value of each TV market, i.e. € 750,7 milion will be distributed from the group stage onwards (five times more than in the UEFA Europa League). UEFA Europa League 2009/2010: 1st qualifying round: 90.000 € 2nd qualifying round: 90.000 € 3rd qualifying round: 90.000 € Playoffs: 90.000 € Group stage: 1.000.000 € Group match victory: 140.000 € Group match draw: 70.000 € 1st knock out round: 200.000 € 2nd knock out round: 300.000 € Quarter-finals: 400.000 € Semi-finals: 700.000 € Final: 2.000.000 € Winning the final: 1.000.000 € The remaining balance of € 60 million will be distributed according to the proportional value of each TV market, i.e. € 150,36 milion will be distributed from the group stage onwards. UEFA Supercup 2009: Loser: 2.000.000 € Winner: 2.500.000 € Please note that as stated above the money quoted does not include our share of tv revenue for Scotland

    hello

great thing about this site wilkie is you dont need anti depressants after reading the threads !!!!!
  12. ehhhhhhhh!! , that's either the best cleverest post in history or a load of bollocks :flipa:
  13. absolutely brilliant article , shows what should be getting done by those in charge , well done to all concerned
  14. Walter smith is Murray's last throw of the dice and I totally agree with Frankie that we are no further ahead than when Murray took over 20 years ago , I really believe that we are just stumbling from one disaster to another , no leadership , no vision , a support so apathetic that it is unbelievable , and a team that continually is set out with players in positions that are so obviously alien and uncomfortable to them , duncan ferguson at left wing , big basil at right back , hmmmm who was the tactical genius behind those decisions !!!!!!!!!!!
  15. In all my years on various rangers forums I dont think I have ever came across anyone with as big a hardon for themselves as you , were you bullied as a kid or do you just refuse to accept other peoples points of views , also the negativity you post with no allternative's offered is staggering ,you sound like a very lonely wee man

    david edgar

Right to start with I think he speaks from the heart but also speaks very well , doesn't get involved in the smaller details but can see the much bigger picture and isn't afraid to say it like it is ,now as a life time member of the trust you might expect me to say all of these things but I have been highly critical and I hope frankie would back me up on this , on the way some of his associates have conducted themselves recently. Murray must go of that there can be no arguement , his near 20 year tenure has actually put us way behig celtic and as much as that is unpalatible it is true' we need a strong voice in opposition to put pressure on murray as his weakness is personal humiliation , and I aint talking about whips and oranges

    david edgar

How do the regular and respected posters on this site view david edgar , what is your position on the rst , frankie your exempt from this , just interested
  18. if ally left who would go round murray park high fiving big lee
  19. the only way to murray is public ridicule / humilliation , like all power freaks it's his achilles heel and until that happens he will stay securly down in his bunker. To everyone who slaughters people for not goin back or hanging up their scarves , maybe they are too young to remember that is how change happened the last time
  20. stand corrected , this day just keeps getting worse for me
  21. sorry to be piky but its £8.4 million
  22. Sorry bluedell and thanks for clearing that up , the point I was trying to clear up was that we were using our own money and not being bankroled by murray as so many believe , but what is clear from your research is that even back 14 years ago Murray had started to strip away assets and started to bring outside investment instead of using any of his own or his companies money
  23. David Holmes the much respected chairman who was the brains behind the Rangers revolution has in the past credited hugh Adams as the man who paid for the stadium , if holmes gives him the credit I aint goin to argue with him, also i am not arguing that I may have been wrong with my quote on the £28 million , also with regards to what we spent remember we went from 15,000 season ticket holders and crowds averaging 22000 t over 33000 season ticket holders and average croeds above 42000 in the first season , murray didnt appear for nearly three years , but dont let that spoil the Murray is mr rangers story. One final thing in the very early 90's we were in profit and didn't have any debt until 1999 so though I may have been wrong with regards my times I am certainly right with regards to us having money in the bank , which davie certainly spent
  24. I wil take your word on that as I cannot recall the exact figures or dates , not trying to justify my point but i do know that there was very little debt as the rangers pools was still making huge contributions to the club at that time, in fact they all but paid for the new stadium , and but for changes in legislation which all but destroyed the pools , it wold still be generating huge amounts for the club
  25. I honestly cannot answer that 100% , however I am 100% sure lawrence marlborough only sold his majority holding in Rangers , he did not sell the club ,there is a big difference If you like it is like the Glazers borrowing money to buy man utd which they then transfer back onto man utd's books but in reverse Also Murray has increased his share holding over the years he did not start out with anything like the 91% he has now
