  1. Pretty happy with that overall for the first game. Lots of positives and the usual slackness at the back. Be interesting to see what the changes bring for the next game and where we start against Hamilton. I think I'd put money on it now that it wont be Danny Wilson and Kiernan at the back... I certainly hope not.

I think Windasss could be an excellent acquisition for us.

    Time will tell........

It's early days, but Windass looked quality to me, as did Kranjcar, although Niko didn't look at 100% level fitness yet.

As for the defenders, dear doctor. We have defenders, but WTF are they doing?

  2. As far as I'm aware that won't be happening in time for next season, had it been possible to use the Edmiston House car park that would have accommodated the wheelchair users in the East Enclosure who currently park in the Albion. It had been hoped to bring all disabled parking onto the Ibrox footprint but that isn't possible at the moment. There are a very limited number of wheelchair parking spaces behind the Broomloan that are currently used but the vast majority are currently located in the Albion. A major problem of having them in the Albion is that it is quite dangerous crossing from the Albion especially after they close off Edmiston Drive.

There's definitely a lot of wasted parking space at the Broomloan end.

  3. Folks, apologies for my absence from the forum and for not managing to keep the GPL up to date this season.

My mum's health went downhill again 3 months ago and she had to go back into hospital for the 5th time in a year just over 8 weeks ago. That's taken her total stay in hospital this year to about 32 weeks in hospital since last August. This time she's in an infectious disease unit in Monklands hospital due to repeated recurrences of a certain infection.

This has had an impact on my dad, accelerated his own health issues and that in turn has impacted on me quite severely.

That's not the whole story though because my computer's hard disk failed about 8 weeks ago and it wasn't repairable. Thankfully I've got another PC and managed to get most of the important data copied over from the old HD, so I think I'm good to go for the moment.

Thanks to Frankie for tallying up the final scores and thanks a million to you all for your patience.

  4. Realistically how many will be at Ibrox next year after their loan moves?

Imo Murdoch,Crawford,Aird,Walsh and Gasparotto will be let go, only Hardie being retained.

    Jury still out on MccCrorie.

I don't remember offhand what all of their contract situations are, but why do you think Hardie will be the only one retained mate?

  5. Perhaps had he laid the foundations of a youthful squad we would have been prepared to even wait a further term to secure promotion as we watched the ‘Warburton Babes’ develop into a promotion winning side.

That's an interesting point, but I think most of us assume that Mark Warburton was brought in with a remit which specifically included winning the league outright at the first attempt and I don't think very many of our fans would have accepted anything less.

  6. Looked to me like the Hibs team have been told by Stubbs to wind us up, so I'd maybe think about getting the players on yellow cards off. If we don't make subs at half time, then I hope the players are at least told to be more careful, as with this ref Clancy and the way the game is going there's at least one red card looming if we don't take more care.

  7. Celtic should aim higher than bringing back a manager whose behaviour was regularly a total embarrassment to Scottish football, but if they want to re-hire a nasty piece of work like Lennon they can knock themselves out.

  8. Quality match preview, thanks a lot Germinal! :tu:

For anyone (IN THE UK) who isn't lucky enough to be going to the game, also isn't a Sky subscriber (or going to the pub) and are wondering about online broadcasting of the game it's worth considering www.nowtv.com. It was recommended from the Sky website.....

We've just set it up here tonight and the quality is top class. £10.99 for 7 days of Sky Sports gets you this Semi Final plus our game at Easter Road on Wednesday, all the Sports Channels and more!! There's also a whole bunch of platforms supported including mobile ones, smart tvs, chromecast & loads more!
