Gilmorton must've been given a promise or first team action soon. His loan spell at Norwich was a disaster so he has a bit to prove.

I'll be gutted to see Bassey go. He was a total revelation during the season just finished and he seemed to absolutely love playing for Rangers.
I hope he goes onto bigger and better things.

He's a big loss.
A good defender who, I believe, makes Goldson play better when they play together.

Yeah he will mate (good to see you back bud - still in the force ?). Youtube is no place to judge (as we learned with Sebo) but he has blistering pace (fastest 20 metres ever recorded at Man City, beating Sterling, Sane and Walker and, funnily enough, quicker over 20 metres than Usain Bolt - true story !), tricky, direct but definitely needs work on his decision-making when either shooting or delivering the ball in.
My fear is whether he will be able to use his pace given how deep teams sit against us - however, if he is deployed on the right wing then it also should mean that Kent isnt double-teamed on the other side, which should open him up to be able to contribute more as well.
He signed for Schalke for 11 mill from Man City and was part of their first team.
The Tims were after him as well apparently.
Yeah, unfortunately. Where are you living and working now? I'm sure last time I was on here you were being forced to return back to Scotland. Maybe not.
He sounds like a player who needs polished up on a few things but what young player doesn't. Hopefully he can develop. Sounds like hid style would suit an away European tie playing on the counter attack.

So excuse my ignorance here, is he any good? Will he be in about the 1st team straight away?

Anyone but Monaco for me. Though they'll all be tricky ties.
Yeah, Monaco would be a tough draw.
Mind you, there doesn't seem to be many easy games in Europe anymore.

I'm just catching up with this thread. From pages 1 and 2, some are wanting Kamara out. No way!
Yes he was a bit inconsistent but what player isn't?
Need to keep Kamara unless a good bid comes in.

Southampton are so inconsistent and unpredictable. They'll always be a mid to lower league team. Jo Aribo won't improve their consistency .

Whats the latest with Morelos' injury?

Gutted he's away and for only £6m up front makes it even worse. Hopefully we get the other £4m fairly soon.

I'm not wanting to know our finances down to the penny, just a good estimate from someone who has links.

Firstly, hello everyone. I posted here for a while then took a break for a few years. I see some familar names and plenty new ones too.
There's a joke amongst fans of the other clubs that we're skint, have always been skint and will always be skint. Someone (can't remember who) made a joke comment in the transfer thread after the latest link with the young Welsh player about sevco having no money (along those lines).
It got me thinking, what are our finances like? We've sold Patterson, made a few bob after the Europa League run and the potential sale of Aribo but as the joke goes, we're still skint. My question is, what are our finances like?
I'm sure there are a few on here able to answer this.

So is it Kolak or Cholak
Ask a Celtic fan, they seem to know everything about this guy.

The ads are a pain. Trying to find the wee cross to shut the ad is worse than the actual advert.

I've never really understood the desire to eat at the football. 3pm kick offs are after lunch and before tea and evening kick offs are after tea time.
Midday kick offs maybe...
I agree. That said, a wee bovril in the winter is unbeatable!!

Funeral Monday 18th July.
Been a bad year for losing the legends.

What's the latest with Aribo? Has Gio confirmed he's leaving?

I'll admit to knowing absolutely nothing about this guy which isn't a bad thing.
As always, let's hope he hits the ground running and scores as quickly as possible.

Yes I feel it might not be so clear cut despite what it looks like on paper. No one aside from the yahoos has beaten them by any more than a single goal and that was a 3-1 at the piggery. We have better players than them in every position but you just never know.
I watched Motherwell beat Hearts at Tynecastle earlier on this season and Hearts were awful but they'll be absolutely up for this tomorrow. Levein will have them fired up.

Too many fans thinking we'll romp this game tomorrow. Hearts will be right up for it and play their usual physical game. If our players can stand up to the physical challenge then we should be ok.
This will be a tough, tough game, won by the odd goal.

A few wee bets that might entice one this weekend
West ham 5/2
Arsenal 4/5
Man utd 11/4
Man Utd? More chance of Ross County beating Celtic than Man Utd beating Liverpool.

No way will we sell Morelos in January.

BT wanted the Hamilton Rangers game at the end of November to be played on the Friday evening. After some discussions it was put back to the 24th.
