You don't half spout some shite when you're on the troll.
I tend to agree with Der Berliner,as do a most of my fellow Bears.

Wallace hasn't kicked a ball for around 8 months now and in that time has probably picked up around £300k. Absolutely no value for money. I think they call it "the Ally Effect"!
I only wish more people saw it the way you and I do SC.

Just had confirmation tonight that the club have actively been trying to find a buyer for Lee Wallace for the last month or so. The asking price is just over half a million. The player is devastated.
A half million seems pretty ridiculous, but right now I would take the money and move on.Steven Smith is actually way better defending, and twice as good at dead ball situations,Lee has really lost his game under McSalary anyway.

I don't watch the MLS but he's played as a forward for all other clubs pretty much exclusively. I can remember him playing out wide for us but I think it was just one match.
Which position has McCulloch ever excelled in out of interest?
Kenny is listed on the team sheets as striker, but hes everywhere on the park, once the whistle blows.
Jig may not be everyones choice(myself included)but to be honest,I doff my cap to the big guy the last few years,we probably wouldn't be challenging for the top tier right now,if he hadn't stayed.

Watching him playing with the Whitecaps I was reminded of Ralphie Brand back in the day. He used to send some lovely slicing passes through as an inside-left. A lot of times he was mentally ahead of his colleagues but they eventually cottoned on.
Absolutely correct sir,Ralphie was actually the player I was thinking of while typing in my response to SBS
Too bad Dennis Law was around back then,or Ralphie would have had maybe 20-30 more caps.Great, totally under rated player.

Watched the Falkirk v Rangers game a couple weeks back, and thought he was the best player on the park.

The post is a tad ironic because Miller has always played as a forward. Also, McCulloch has played various positions across his career, none to great effect.
None to great effect? you jest sir.
I dont know how old you are SBS,I would imagine not too old.
I'm sure older Bears would agree that Miller would have been an excellent fetch and carry inside forward in the old 2-3-5 formation.
Watched many a Whitecap games and he done just that.
As someone else already said,no need breaking up Boyd and Clarck, just let Kenny float around behind them, and goals are guaranteed.

I wouldn't say Naismith has improved,I would say he is being (like him or hate him)the excellent wee player he always has been.

We are actually very lucky to have him.Miller like the much maligned McCulloch can Play just about anywhere on the park, and be very effective.
for anyone to think he is only a striker, obviously hasn't paid a lot of attention to Kenny's football carreer.

Bet he would still have more movement than Boyd up front
Aye! hurry back John Daly.

i always thought eck played pretty good football. 3 up top etc.
he had little money to spend and did well with it.[/QUO
You are being way too nice here slinger. Eck lucked out a lot,and managed to win a couple of trophies. But having said that ,as poor as he was,he's easily way better manager than what we have right now.

Hope this is not insulting, and is not a breach of rules,I would just like to say that our present manager is an utter disaster.
As I said last week,"UTTER DISASTER":wtf2:

Nothing wrong with Jews mate.
I could have worded that better.I quite admire the jews. my point was a jew being a rat to his own kind.

Greens a jew i am sure, strange he would get involved with someone like Soros.
George soros is also a jew, which makes him even more despicable.

Former Rangers chief executive Charles Green is launching a bid to return to Ibrox as a director by fronting a £10 million investment in the club from an American billionaire.
New York based George Soros has told Green to make his move within the next 7 days by offering existing Rangers shareholders 20p per share to become the company’s biggest shareholder.
If that move fails, Soros and Green will offer the current board a £10 million loan at 5% interest, with the Murray Park training ground taken as security on the deal.
Clyde Sport understands Green would then return to the club as a director with a new chief executive to be appointed to replace the current man in charge, Graham Wallace.
The move would also throw into question the future of Rangers manager Ally McCoist with both men known to be fans of club legend Brian Laudrup.
Green still has close contacts with the current Rangers board through Sandy Easdale.
Mr Soros has been involved in Major League Baseball in the United States and currently has a 1.9% stakeholding in Manchester United.
He played a significant role in the transition from communism to capitalism in his native Hungary in the 1980s and is a well known currency speculator who gained the title, “The man who broke the Bank of England” in the 1992 Black Wednesday currency crisis.
Forbes magazine has listed 83 year-old Soros as the 27th richest person in the world as recently as 2 weeks ago and he’s the 7th richest man in America with a net worth of £23billion.

George soros ,a slug of the highest order. As a youth he donned the nazi uniform and pointed out jews in his native Hungary.Today a multi-millionaire and as far left as you can go,would be more suited on the east end of Glasgow.

...and cricket of course.
Play for five days and still end up with a draw. Rules invented by the guy running the bar I think.
What is this thing cricket you talk of,is it a sport?

I'd get rid of draws. If it's all square after 90mins, remove a player from each side every 2 minutes until one side scores to win the game.
I absolutely hate draws, ties.Soccer and Ice hockey are about the only two team sports(i think) where it happens. It can happen in the NFL but its extremely rare.
Maybe it's one of the reasons I love baseball so much they just play, and play until there's a winner. "GO JAYS GO":celebrate2:

Does the referee still have the ability to move a free kick ten yards further forward if there is dissent when it is awarded?
If so, it is rarely applied.
I believe there is such a rule in the book.I've been watching the game for 50 odd years and can't remember it ever being implemented.
Another thing, what did you guys think of the ref marching off 10 yards and spraying the line down? I've been watching it for afew years in the MLS and it works really well.no encroachment, resulting in far better efforts on goal.

Bell isn't the most commanding of keepers and I don't think bringing everyone back helps.
In saying that, I'd like to know how many goals we concede from corners. Only recent one I can remember is the Albion Rovers game although we were fortunate not to lose one tonight in the second half.
When everyone is back we get in each others way,way too often, and give up a fair amount of free headers.McCoist has to revisit this tactic, cos it is as big a disaster as the four, five guys around the ball taking a free kick.

Perhaps the modern teend to skin tight shirts as in rugby is an appreciation of what you say.
Or FIFA simply legislate, use of hands is an absolute no-no.AUTOMATIC RED. grabbing the shirt would dissappear overnight.

The whole rule book needs to be drasticlaly overhauled. The two most obvious ones for me are the annoying off-side calls, and the most annoying of them all, holding on to an opponents shirt should be an
automatic red card.It is now an every day practice to grab a shirt, and should be totally banned from the game.

"VB will provide evidence that the punishment was handed down unfairly or perhaps even illegally".
For me the answer is already in the wording. Perhaps illegally? If it wasn't illegal then it is no story. Just another 'that's wasn't fair', but lets see what they come up with. I may be pleasantly surprised.
For god sake man, give credit where it is due.Vanguard Bears lead the way as usual.

Yeah, it's fine to use this thread to let off steam but please avoid the kind of insults or abuse that would breach our rules.
I can see myself using this thread myself from time to time.
Hope this is not insulting, and is not a breach of rules,I would just like to say that our present manager is an utter disaster.

I remember the late, great Bob Crampsey speculating in the late 70s/early 80s on the dangers of TV. He was a great Cricket(member of Somerset CCC) and Baseball fan. He used both these sports to highlight the pernicious nature of constant TV live coverage. Crowds at both these sports at that time were dwindling rapidly, and specifically he talked about the growing evidence that children in Atlanta, Chicago, LA, .... etc were just as likely to be Boston Red Sox or New York Yankees fans, as to be fans of their home city clubs.
On the streets of Scotland, it's a cosmopolitan approach to children replete in replica kits, both Barca and to a lesser degree, Real Madrid, and half a dozen English teams are as popular as any Scottish club. Twenty years of every breath and fart of CL has ensured this and proved auld Bob correct. It's the same in Belgium, when I was a kid, drawing Anderlect or Standard Liege was tantamount to a gubbing. Where are they now? Could Lokeren achieve back to back Euro Cup wins now? The landscape has changed, forever.
The law of diminishing returns awaits and to some, like Cosgrove that is most appealing. We are doomed to the suburbs of Brigadoon East with Establishment Stu' patrolling the streets.
Would that be the late great Holyrood teacher? I was always more a Montford man myself.
