  1. If stadium expansion isn't an option then showing every away game in NEH should be on the table. We need to be maximising what we have because being 10k down on their attendances isn't doing us any favours. Why SDM thought 50k was enough for us when most teams of our size were pushing 60k or north is mind-blowing
  2. I don't quite understand the idea that Clement may be the best since Walter. Steven Gerrard took us from a laughing stock to invincible title winners that stopped the unthinkable happening. Let's wait until Clement has won a title and re-assess.
  3. Although our stadium is far superior, it annoys me that we are around 10,000 down on capacity in comparison to that lot. Over 5 seasons that is a significant amount of money. The screens were a good idea at the time, but the "beamback" idea fell flat on its arse and I can't even recall the last time that feature was used. It would've been better to have filled the corners in because the screens really don't provide any income now. I really feel like we need to find ways to increase the capacity otherwise we'll continue to be left behind financially. Presumably the beamback thing is dead now we have NEH as a venue to show away games to a large group of supporters.
  4. I've tried to follow the rules on the website, but I can't really get my head around them. I have 4 numbers allocated to me since I signed up in 2017. On Wednesdays 5 balls are drawn, on Saturdays 4 balls and one bonus ball is drawn. What constitutes a winning line? Do the balls need to be in the correct sequence? If so, how many?
  5. I've got the Tav one from the 2022 SCF and haven't changed it since. I can't even find it online to share it on here. Anyone got any good iphone wallpapers they'd be keen to share?
  6. Both great graphics. I don’t think they’ve released an official graphic for phones yet
  7. Either that graphic or a Lock Screen graphic for the phone. I’ve had the one with Tav after winning the Scottish Cup in 2022 for a while so it’s time for a refresh.
  8. Can anyone recommend a good quality Rangers hat, preferably in navy? I’m not too bothered if it’s official, but something with the RFC crest and in navy that doesn’t look like AliExpress number. I had a look on the website but they are looking for $60 AUD plus international shipping (I’m in Australia) for one, which seems to be taking the piss a bit.
  9. 55 and Seville were great but we are, as yet, still to recover our position from pre-2012. Whilst we are chasing Celtic’s coattails and trying to pick up the odd cup here and there they will continue to win the league and soon enough I predict they will start mouthing off about 10IAR. 2012 has put them in a power of strength and excluding Lennon bottling the big one we have been unable to get back on top for any reasonable amount of time. The loser and second best mentality will not improve until we rid ourself of the old guard of Tavernier, Goldson, Barasic and even Ryan Jack and John Lundstram. I think we can strap ourselves in for a rough few years where they will overtake our trophy haul and league titles. What I’d like to see is the new manager to come in with a medium to long term plan to turn things around. There’s no point going on a run of league wins when we are 10-12 points back and the league is done. We need real change and that starts with the losers that have let us down one too many times.
  10. I’m quite tempted by the new fourth shirt. Are there any promo codes knocking around for either the Rangers site or the Castore site?
  11. The least of our worries just now, clearly, however I wonder where he is likely to end up. Revert to coaching or will he go down a level or two to try and rebuild his reputation. I think it's safe to assume he'll never manage a club as big as ours again.
  12. I see this has been cancelled. I wasn't going, but I am dying to go one year. I listened to the NARSA podcasts for a number of weeks and the guy that runs it was giving weekly updates about it.
  13. I hope the shortlist isn't too short because I think he would be an absolute car crash at Ibrox. If he is given a contract then we are in bigger trouble than we feared.
  14. Steven Gerrard reunites with Rangers colleague at Al-Ettifaq By Mark Walker4 hrs ago Steven Gerrard (Image: Getty) Allen spent two years at Ibrox from 2017 and was credited as being largely responsible for persuading Gerrard to join Rangers, before leaving and joining Swansea City in the same role, where he was sacked after just eight months with the Welsh club. And he's set to join up with Gerrard again in Saudi after the club's 'football technical committee' and Gerrard approved the hiring of Allen, who also previously worked at Manchester City. Allen will reportedly be involved with recruiting and developing players for the ambitious club. When he left Rangers in September 2019 for 'family reasons', Allen said: "Bringing Steven Gerrard to the club will always be a special point in my career and I would like to thank him, his excellent staff, the players and all the staff at Rangers for their support throughout my tenure." And Gerrard added: "I would like to place on record my sincere gratitude to Mark for the incredible support he has shown to me and all of my staff since I came to the club 16 months ago. Mark’s success here is evident for all to see." Now the pair will be reunited in the Gulf. Meanwhile, Michael Beale wished Rangers well for the future as he issued a social media post within hours of his sacking backing the Ibrox club to get back on track. The 43-year-old was relieved of his duties as Rangers boss late on Sunday evening following a dismal start to the season. “Thank you @RangersFC to everyone behind the scenes at the training ground and Ibrox, to the board, staff, fans and all the players,” he wrote. “I will always follow and support the club from afar and wish you every success. “Now is the time for everyone to unite fully behind Steven Davis and the team in the coming games. “There is still so much to play for this season and I have a strong belief in this group of players. Thank you and good luck.” https://www.heraldscotland.com/sport/23827040.steven-gerrard-reunites-rangers-colleague-al-ettifaq/
  15. I found it humourous, especially after Beale was skulking about behind Gio’s back last year
  16. All the very best to the big man. A true blue who will take great pride in being involved for the next short while at least. He has coaching experience and a solid understanding of the club.
  17. This guy is one of our worst signings in a long, long time. Cremonese must be laughing their head off that we handed them £4m for him.
  18. Is there any credence to these claims?
  19. Why is there constant chatter on SM about new lockdowns and restrictions? Scaremongering nonsense I assume?
  20. I don’t think that’s true. Man United have 3 and I think Celtic have 3 too.
  21. FWIW, I have no issues with Castore quality in 2023 however I dislike the "4 kits/year contract" and i'm skeptical about the deal we are getting with them versus the likes of Adidas and Nike.
  22. Early days, but his finish last night was top quality by any standard. Senior career* Years Team Apps (Gls) 2020–2021 Slavia Prague 24 (11) 2021– Brighton & Hove Albion 0 (0) 2021–2022 → Stoke City (loan) 2 (0) 2022–2023 → Angers (loan) 34 (5) 2023– → Rangers (loan) 5 (1)
  23. DICK ADVOCAAT looks set to come out of retirement for the FIFTH time as the 75-year-old ponders an offer to take charge of Caribbean island Curacao. The veteran Dutch boss insisted he was finally finished with football management at the end of last season in the Dutch second tier as Den Haag boss in front of just 469 fans against Jong AZ Alkmaar. He signed off with a 2-0 win. It was the club he first signed for as a player 56 years ago and he stressed there was no chance of anyone changing his mind after previously u-turning on quitting on four separate occasions. However, Advocaat has been offered the chance of taking charge of former Dutch colony Curacao, who are ranked 90th in the FIFA Rankings, in their quest to reach the World Cup Finals for the first time in 2026. He said: "We are still negotiating. It has not yet reached that point where I have accepted. "It is mainly about the organisation. That has always been the big problem there "Hotels, planes, travel, it is imperative that players know what will happen when they arrive. "I have previously arranged that in Belgium, but they have money there. Not so much in Curacao." If he accepts, it will be the eighth country he has managed. He's been in charge of the Netherlands twice, Belgium, Russia, Serbia, Iraq, UAE and South Korea. Advocaat was in charge of Rangers from 1998 from 2002, where he famously splashed out a record £12 million on striker Tore Andre Flo. He won two titles with Rangers, two Scottish Cups and a League Cup and signed new Ibrox manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst. His first job in management was in 1980 as manager of DSVP and he's also been manager at club sides Haarlem, SVV, Dordrecht, Borussia Monchengladbach, Zenit St Petersburg, Sunderland, Fenerbahce, Sparta Rotterdam, Utrecht and Feyenoord as well as Rangers and what was supposed to be his final job at Den Haag, where he was born. Curacao sacked previous boss Remko Bicentini after six games in charge following a poor CONCACAF Nations League campaign.
