  1. some people are a bit desperate for green to be a hero. understandable but not very sensible. super managed last season desperately trying to hold together a squad that whyte was trying to flog to anyone who would listen. people should remember the look on supers face when he lady ibrox on Jan 31st. the polar opposite of Paul Clark's on Tuesday for anyone who forgets.
  2. no this wound be using ally. no way they are doing this without allys permission. if indeed it is any of them. more likely aj or greig.
  3. several ex directors are of course friends with ally but several also have an axe to grind with green. some caution would be prudent.
  4. I expect it will be someone very cheep. perhaps Jim Jeffries but far more likely someone from down south.
  5. tom English is Irish. that said he seem to have little time for the yahoos and zero for the IRA loving element. I can't see what's wrong with this article.
  6. I doubt many will be pleased by the manor of this. especially the players.
  7. ALLY McCOIST is set to quit Rangers after discovering a plot to get rid of him. Record Sport believes that even though it will break his heart to leave, the 49-year-old is in an impossible position. And late last night sources said McCoist will be gone within 48 hours after confronting new owner Charles Green over plans to oust him. It was stressed that it was only his loyalty to the club and the fans that prevented him from walking immediately on finding out earlier this week he has no place in Green’s blueprint for the future. But even then McCoist’s first reaction was to ask himself if there was anything more he could do that might help the club he loves. However, according to one former director, the manager is now so disgusted by what he’s discovered he cannot remain. And the blame is being laid at the door of one man, Green, who is about to become owner of the newco Rangers. The ex-board member claims even though Green spoke highly of McCoist in public and to his face he had made up his mind to change manager. And our source also insisted the manager, the one man who has held the players, staff and fans together over the past traumatic six months, has been sickened by the lack of transparency surrounding his club. McCoist thought constantly about his position but remained because he believed Rangers needed a measure of continuity no matter how small to get through the heartache. Even after the rejection of the CVA proposal by HMRC on Tuesday, McCoist was willing to do what was right for the club and the only thing he’d ever demanded in return was honesty from those with the power to buy and sell Rangers. He doesn’t believe there has been enough transparency or respect for the fans. With the board dismantled and disgraced Craig Whyte absent McCoist felt it was his responsibility to try to lead by example. But our source believes McCoist feels he has been let down by Green, who will begin the process of buying Rangers out of liquidation after today’s creditors’ meeting. For £5.5million he will get the lot – but not the manager. Our source said: “Honesty, dignity and courage have always been the driving forces in McCoist’s make-up but he doesn’t think those qualities have been in abundance outwith the players, staff and fans. “Even so he was convinced it was his duty to do everything he could to help Rangers survive but to be told his dismissal had already been spoken about by Green has left him disgusted.” Rangers players, even those who are about to abandon the Ibrox ship, will be stunned. They regarded McCoist as the one steadying influence in turbulent waters. The fans, too, came to see another side of him in his first year as a manager. He echoed their concerns ever since Rangers fell into administration and would-be owners started circling the club. But now his short reign appears to be over and although Green has charmed his way into a position of power he might not have the vocabulary to talk his way out of this mess.

  11. employment law is clear you can't make an employee change companies. the argument that players are assets not employees is interesting.
  12. the names we have are plenty worrying. I shudder to think of any that are still hidden.
  13. what else do you call someone who tells everyone the work with things that aren't true?
  14. sdm can't file for bankruptcy. he had to much to lose. whyte can and may well have to. Indeed it may well be what hmrc want.
  15. quite possibly not. we will never know. the main thing here is d&p. green completes the set. every bidder has been told lies by d&p. nothing they say can be trusted. that's not me calling them liars it every single bidder pointing out things d&p said weren't true. people should remember that.
  16. ng miller and tbk were all around 20p at one point. though in differing fashions.
  17. that's perhaps true certainly. who knows though 20 or 30 might have swung it.
  18. they haven't disputed nor confirmed that it would apply to all cvas.
  19. I hear the suns got the tried and tested gravestone out.
  20. yeah same applies to every owner. I too would go in the 3rd division if it was a choice to go down there not a penalty. even under green ownership.
