  1. I was of the same kind of opinion Danny until I dug about and noticed the glaring impartiality in the frequency and content of BBC Scotland "reporting". There is no doubt that Rangers have been news for months and of course the BBC have a right if not an obligation to report on developments at the club however, the issue as far as I'm concerned is the way things have been reported. Any sectarian offence carried out by a Rangers fan is main headline news but in very similar cases with Celtic fans it hasn't gotten past a few lines and a piece buried deep within the regional news, on the day rangers won the League at Hibs the main story on the website was about Craig Levein's team selection for Scotland., the letter bomb story was reported live on TV by a BBC Scotland journo standing outside Ibrox! There seems to be a hardcore of pro-Celtic reporters in BBC Scotland (Chris McLaughlan etc) who are determined to supress anything negative about Celtic and their fans and at the same time highlight all things negative about Rangers. Or...I could just be paranoid.
  2. That's a simplistic view to be honest, John Greig may have been responsible by association but how much actual input into financial moves he had I'm sure was minimal. Yes he could have spoken out and made himself a pariah at the club he captained to success. I saw him more as an ambassador than someone actually "running" the club.
  3. Any "insolvency event" could be 2 or 3 years away by the time the HMRC case and it's inevitable appeal have been heard and decreed upon. Am I missing something?
  4. John Greig is and always will be a Rangers legend, the man had no real interest in the business side of the club and can't be seen as being part of the Murray regime and therefore it's demise. If people are giving him pelters I think that's absurd. These people need to take a long hard look at themselves.
  5. Most hilarious comment - "Anyone else notice the 'We are the ayrshire killie pies' advert? Obviously it is just coincidence that it scans the same way as the billy boys".
  6. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/15307640.stm "Describing his four-year reign as club chairman as the greatest privilege of his life, Lord Reid said he hoped to be remembered as a fighter who spoke out against unfairness at the Scottish Football Association. Celtic and the governing body clashed over refereeing standards during a turbulent season last year. Reform at the SFA achieved what Celtic wanted in terms of accountability and transparency, he added" Is this guy for real? Transparency? I despise that man with a passion.
  7. He fits right in with the rest of the lying, shit stirring victims. Shows what kind of position you can get yourself into if you spin the right yarns in the right ears. Maybe we should enlist anti-terror lobbyists and bend their ears about what we have to listen to weekly from the scum?
  8. Levein should hang his head in shame for the way he set us up against the Czechs in Prague, I lost all respect for him after that.
  9. But Mr Salmond hit back saying: “You can think up 100 different reasons for opposing this legislation. There’s only one reason for supporting it – and that is it is the right thing to do.” If you can think of 100 reasons why something is wrong, maybe it's just wrong ya fat pie faced mong.
  10. That headline is so cynical, the guy has been convicted of the crime and punished as the Court sees fit. Do the BBC want people locked up just because it's against Lennon?
  11. Keep them in, it's great watching their calamitous defence running about chasing shadows on a Thursday night.
  12. Quite staggering that in 2011, Scotland that wants to be seen as a modern and progressive Nation with world class education, business and scientific facilities and skills, places such weight on the views of an archaic and irrelevant body as the Catholic Church. I detest Catholicism as well as all other organised religions, they have brought nothing to the table but conflict, intolerance and abuse and now they want to meddle with the laws of this land. It's embarrassing that people like that are allowed to even sit around the table with the people running our country. By definition these people are anti-democratic, anti-progress and anti-integration. The polar opposite of the values this country is trying to promote.
  13. As if the Catholic Church has ever had any respect for Nation or Nationality. Their self righteousness is staggering. Fuck them indeed.
  14. I couldn't care less about what these hacks want to portray us as, in the end the truth comes out one way or the other and these titles have an ever diminishing shelf life...we'll be around long after the Daily Record or The Sun. People can find out better and more relevant news in 30 seconds through a phone, an iPad or a computer screen now and that's only going to grow. What we are seeing is the final desperate throes of a dying media. Good riddance.
  15. Totally agree with two points above, the gutter press have never been so low and devious and should shoulder some responsibility for stoking up tension and hatred to sell copy. Your average Joe still gets all his news and views from these rags sadly, social new media hasn't reached everybody yet.
  16. The powers that be have made a right Noel Hunt of this alleged Sectarian epidemic nonsense, I don't get what they are trying to achieve at all. It can't be for votes because the critical mass of population in Scotland are confused or just plain ignorant of what sectarianism actually is. If they do come out and define what is and what isn't then all it will do is encourage both sides to push the boundaries and it's back to square one. Waste of time and money.
  17. No it's not but to some people "No Surrender" carries sectarian or political connotations.
  18. On a Statement which was meant to be taken seriously and highlight the ludicrous reaction to anti-SNP demonstrations and banners it was petty and childish to include No Surrender as a kind of middle fingered signature. Whether the sentiment of that phrase is legitimate or not it looks out of place. What if the Green Brigade issued a statement with Tiochfaidh ar la at the bottom?
  19. If his crossing wasn't as erratic he wouldn't be at Rangers! It's the biggest weakness in his game but then it seems to be a rare skill these days.

  21. I think this guy could be a player for us but I can't see where he'll fit in, he's not got the pace and final ball of Wylde and he's not going to keep Davis or Naismith out of the side. Just thinking about it we have loads of options really, guess people like McKay will come into their own when those options are diminished by injuries and suspensions.
  22. I just had a wee squint on there to see the reaction to Whyte's latest statement, it's a good laugh reading all the deluded mutants twisted views. The best laugh of all though is that the thread with the most replies is dedicated to us "huns".
  23. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-glasgow-west-15092249 I know this is more to do with the justice system than the Police and the SNP but....these kind of scumbags are playing the system like a fruit machine and are roaming the streets committing serious crimes while groups of fans paying big bucks to be entertained and support their team are persecuted and criminalised. Maybe a Justice Committee should be set up to examine how flimsy and weak the system is in dealing with actual crimes?
  24. Not sure the "No Surrender" is necessary at the end of a serious and relevant statement, totally undermines the message and sentiment contained within.
  25. Guys, let's leave the yahoos to make wild claims of player values. They'll be worth what somebody wants to pay for them when the time comes.
