  1. Sorry to disagree but Barca strip this season is truly horrible. For me Barca are blue and red strips not colours bleeding into each other. It looks like a spiderman outfit from the new movie
  2. I was going to ask the same thing mate. As much as Adidas and Nike are market leaders I would struggle to pick out a stripo that I actaully like. IMO you will go a long way to find a better strip than Rangers home kit this season. Less is more
  3. Is this the same No Idea Scottish Labour Party that Scotland have blindly voted in for decades?
  4. As much as I didn't like some of our recent modern jazzy Umbro creations (UEFA cup run etc.) I really liked the strip from 2010/11 (rugby style) and this seasons simple classic. IMO red should never be anywhere hear a Rangers strip. It should be light Royal blue with white trim/detail or just plain blue. When Umbro put their mind to it some of their stuff can be nice. I've liked some of the retro Man City bits from the last few years, which have included walk out track tops (very 70's...). Their current NY Cosmos branding is also quite classy as well.
  5. Exactly mate. The way these muppets trip over themselves to reach the moral high ground make me puke tbh. And for the record Brian Wilson is an utter cock
  6. That's exactly why I like him. He doesn't play the BBC "goodie goodie" Tim Henman game. It made me laugh when people were queueing up to say how much they like Murray now that he has shed a tear and showed that he was "human". Did they not see his previous Slam finals when he also shed tears and the Davis Cup victory in Glasgow when he had a good greet because of the brilliant fans. In any other country, Murray would be a sporting icon but in our wee country we almost ignore a player that is playing in the most competitive era of men's tennis in years against 3 of the best players that have ever played the game.
  7. It is probably not really fair for anyone to compare the feelgood (and once every 4 years) vibe of the Olympics with the tribilism of football but as you stated above the sporting summer has been a great distraction. And as you have also mentioned it is somewhat hard to go from a hearing about a female hockey player getting her jaw smashed to pieces (and then playing a few days later) to listening to debates about idiot footballers on twitter, and all the cheating and diving that infests football. I've always been a tennis fan and to be honest I get more enjoyment in watching that at the moment, especially since Scotland has a player that is up there giving three of the greatest players a run for his money. I know Murray isn't everyones cup of tea but IMO he is so overlooked in this country thanks to our obsession with fitba
  8. God I forgot about that shameful episode. Thai Tims..? Nice name considering the term Tim is derived from a catholic gang from back in the day.
  9. Read some of the Mhanks on The Herald website whinging that Ashley makes money by exploiting Far East sweatshops/markets. They were then reminded that their own strips are not made by cute little nuns in shamrock laden cottages but by Nike, a company that has been derided for their exploitation of sweat shops and dubious employment practices in the Far East... Still waiting on a reply. It makes me chuckle how far these muppets will go to find a negative in every Rangers story...
  10. I have to agree amms. WTF is happening to our game? I love to watch Scotland but now this whole Rangers V SFA?Scotland thing is making things tough. I had a quick look at Rangers Media and there are posts on there basically telling you who to vote for, what channels to watch, what colours to wear etc. It's like North fekin Korea. All this division is very depressing and after the high of the Olympics, it is hard to swallow tbh
  11. Of course it's one sided but you cannot argue with history. It is the oldest international rivalry in the world football. We may not have the platform to play these games anymore but I for one can remember the build up to the England being one of the highlights of the season. And for the record, this "one sided" rivalry has a pretty even stat breakdown. From the 110 games, England have won 45 and Scotland have won 41
  12. Fair enough if your peeved with the SFA et all but for some people take that resentment further by then endorsing our ancient International rivals is bonkers
  13. Simple really. AC Milan mean nowt to me. The Rangers reserves (Swifts) wore red and black stripes for years. Now seems like a good to time as any to return to our footballing roots. Maybe a third white top with blue star?
  14. I've met plenty of Rangers fans who for some reason have decided to sport English colours and they have all been born and bred Glaswegian Scots. It's truly bewildering
  15. You make some fair points. Call me a saddo but personally I couldn't give a monkeys how NI, Wales and ROI get on in football or in any sport tbh. They mean nowt to me. To probably cement my "sadness", I do take a passing interest in the England team and want to see them beaten in every game. It's not born out of hatred or any anti-English feeling, it's just footballing rivalry. I was brought up a Scottish fan by my father who was a Rangers and Scotland fan and much of our football heritage was the rivalry between England & Scotland (the oldest International game in the world).
  16. The English love-in is a reference to the number of Gers fans that choose to wear England strips? Why not aslo wear Wales strips? It just doesn't make any sense to me
  17. Would like a red and black striped jersey. Let's get back to our footballing roots and do away with all these jazzy away strips
  18. How do you equate the English love in then? And don't give me the British thing. Why is there not the same love in with Wales? It's merely done to get up the noses of "them" and it is truly pathetic
  19. Let's not forget the shameful Gary McCallister episode from the late 90's. I was at Parkhead that night when he got booed off the pitch and was truly dissapointed and embarrassed
  20. I also fear that many Gers have turned their backs on Scotland and went down the Pro-British route just to get up "them" as many Celtic fans have upped the anti on their "Irishness" over the last few decades IMO.
  21. Agree 100%. This "letter" just reminds why I despair at the some of the content and tone that emanates from the Rangers Media site
  22. Am I the only one that finds this whole thing utterly depressing? Rangers fans calling Scotland "Scumland" and supporting England and anything but Scotland. Scotland fans booing one of their own because he plays for Rangers. WTF is going on in this country? I am Gers fan that also loves to support my country in every game. I've only ever supported 2 teams in my life, Rangers and Scotland and it truly saddens me to think that I actually have to consider my allegiance due to what is going on. Rangers have always had a proud record of players representing and captaining Scotland. Players like Davie Meiklejohn, Alan Morton, George Young, Jim Baxter, John Greig and Davie Cooper all wore the dark blue of Scotland with pride and let's not forget the portrait of the Wee Blue Devil that hangs above the marble staircase depicts him in his Scotland strip. Mmmmm......
  23. Sorry but I have to disagree. Orange has nothing to do with Rangers and would only be used to flog more strips and in turn allow certain fans to flaunt their "religious" and "political" views using Rangers as a vehicle. Why don't we have red and black for goodness sakes? Stick to our footballing heritage and not these prehistoric unwanted add ons.
  24. As much as I welcome a robust defence of our club during this period of "Let's find another stick to beat Rangers" I genuinely hope C Green keeps things balanced and professional. I just fear that he may pander to the lowest common demoninator among our fans to gain support and from what I've seen on Rangers Media this morning, that may be the case. I've already seen an article stating that C Green was telling fans that new away strip was going to be "orange" in terms of theme/colour. Not sure how true this is but the positive replies are more telling IMO.
  25. My family are from Govan and we have always supported Rangers. Passed down the generations really
