I heard it's the replacement for "The Nine" on the BBC Scotland channel.

Was she actually a girl? I don't place a lot of faith in Rodgers' judgement in these matters.

Interesting. I've noticed there are a loads of listings by LetProperty on Rightmove these days and they very often seem to be overpriced- maybe these wealthy overseas investors are easily taken for mugs.
For example, this flat in Cowcaddens: They've listed it as a 1 bedroom flat when, if you look at the photos, it's clearly a bedsit with a combined bedroom, living room and kitchen.

My mate got a "health MOT" from Nuffield (I think) and said it was a bit of a rip-off. Didn't even do a blood test. That was a good few years ago though.

The boomer way is for a woman to have a child then return to work as soon as possible. She will pay a stranger to look after her child. She will endure endless emails, meetings and spreadsheets to get money to pay the stranger.
Are your wife and kids different?

I need some JuJu guidance: I'm out with the pram right now, and just before I checked the other score, I distractedly stood on a dog shite. Should I replicate this scenario where possible for the rest of the season / my life?

While we are all fretting about who we are going to sign before the window closes, Britain's military top brass are already preparing for WW3. Sir Patrick Sanders wants to increase regular army numbers within 3 years to 120,000 and create a 'citizen army' of up to 500,000. Grant Shapps wants military spending to increase to 3% of GDP. So stand by for conscription - Generation X have not shown enough inclination to join the forces, preferring instead to play Call of Duty on their X-boxes.
I wait for a new Kitchener to tell us that our country needs us.
Generation X-Box have a skillset that would transfer wonderfully into the role of drone pilot.

Celtic fans will now be eating Lidl's own brand now
Nah, it doesn't effect them. Timmy breakfast is generally a bowl of wotsits with Irn Bru on it.

Again the same point applies here. The distractions you list are things that fill the space left when parents abandon responsibilities. Access to television and the internet can, and should, be controlled by parents.
You don't have kids.

It's the bosses that are the worst for fannyimg about! Constant pointless blethering meetings, or issuing stupid edicts about "clean desk policy". I'm convinced they mainly want us on site so they can conspicuously swan about justifying their own existence!

One thing that gets on my tits is this stupid idea that in working from home they get more done absolute pish I've seen my own fanying about sipping wine having more coffee breaks than what's good I'm ashamed to say they are in my eyes lazy b******s.
And from councillor friends in Glasgow most of the staff in the city chambers are working from home fucking malingerers .
I don't get that much opportunity to WFH these days, but I find there's considerably more opportunity for fannyimg about when I'm on site!

Did Gerrard’s kids leave Liverpool?
Not when he was with us. An estate agent told me that he and Gary M had fancy pads in Dowanhill. His daughter came up to visit for her birthday - my Mrs was in Ka Pao while they were, much to my jealous annoyance.
Dunno if they've gone to Saudi with him.

Aren't France trying to clamp down on it by taking away benefits etc.? Is that working? If it is, you'd expect more of them to head for Calais.

Maybe we could start a program whereby immigrants can earn citizenship through a period of national service...

Perhaps, if I was a boomer, you might be able to make that claim.

Don't worry. The majority of us have long since come to the conclusion that you are in all probability, and in the most literal sense, Gersnet's most prominent VL. 🤜❤️🤍💙

SNP - the madness continues

During their period of dominance in Scotland the SNP have been able to cast themselves as being the opposition to Westminster.
(Off topic, I know) but if Labour get in (and especially as the Tories are floundering) I wonder if a Nationalist and conservative party would get any traction If Alba, for example (or a completely new party), cast themselves as being for immigration control, increased oil production, generally rescinding SNP/Green policy I suspect they'd do reasonably well whilst Labour are in power.
