  1. Most normal people don't bother about the sexual preferences of others but Homosexuals seem to feel the need to shout it from the rafters. There is of course the idiots who don't accept homosexuality and even use violence against Homo's. My vision is as long as they don't touch me or others who are not Homo let them live their lives.

You are a moderator - yes? Then Moderate my account off this forum because you are a blinkered fucking arsehole! I have seen lots of comments on here about 'educated' , 'mature' forum. Fuck sake - read this post from a moderator. I wont be missed but its mutual.

  2. I just don't see it as an issue, even if you are LGBT. I've said before that my supporters club had a gay guy in it and nobody bothered. I work with numerous gay people, both male and female, and again nobody bothers.

It seems that they're trying to make an issue where one doesn't exist.

RB7 makes the point that there are currently no openly gay footballers, which is a fair point. However I couldn't tell you the sexuality of half our team, and by making a big hoo-ha about it is possibly making it harder for someone who is concerned about coming out.

I think if anyone did a vast majority wouldn't bother. Society has moved on.

I wish society had moved on - it hasn't - not even close. Try watching this http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b08z2jpc/gareth-thomas-v-homophobia-hate-in-the-beautiful-game?suggid=b08z2jpc

My own experiences recently with my family proved that too. We like to believe everything is OK - is it fuck!

  3. What annoys me is that no support is asked for normal human beings.

IMHO the balance towards equality is aimed toward minority groups be it as the post or immigrants etc.

I have grown up respecting people and faiths but too much is aimed at minorities leaving me feeling like a guilty person with my own thoughts.

I get where you are coming from and I agree we should all be allowed to air our views and not have 'support minorities' forced down our throats. But the vast majority of us aren't picked out for often savage unfair treatment. I was fairly 'blind' until a close family member 'came out' recently (never in a million years would you have guessed) and you realise that it's actually very very tough trying to move on from that in a tough working class environment. Your life turns upside down. I mistakenly thought we lived in a new world that accepted gays - we are miles from that sadly!

  4. When I was a wee boy I always remember how disappointed I was to see my wee granny turn up with a bright green jumper on. I couldn't hold back and I asked her why. She pulled me aside, winked at me and said "it's a green stem that grows the beautiful orange lily son" . Class :)

  5. Has anyone got theirs through the post yet? I ordered some for family members on Sunday night but nothing through in the post yet. One of the family works near Ibrox, so what would happen if they turned up today for example at the ticket office? Would they print tickets for them even if the originals were in mid post? I just cant get through to the TO at all.

    They've just arrived :)

  6. It's not, there are 20,000 paper tickets but the vast majority have been posted out.

  7. I think its the perfect example, right on a plate, how our relationship stands. (1) They are basically insignificant irrelevancies to us. If we bring out an all red strip, and its tidy, we would love it. No question and not even a single thought about them. (2) they bring out a blue top (not even royal blue)..................

  8. Anyone know anything about this chap? - The remaining shares held by MASH Holdings Limited have been purchased by Julian Wolhardt, the CEO of Dehong Capital Partners, a Hong Kong based private equity firm. Looks like it is in his private capacity, rather than via his company?

Went to Illinois University so I'm assuming he is a Yank? Could Alastair Johnston be having an influence in latest proceedings maybe?

  9. According to reports this morning Alves has been offered to Galatasaray. I never really bought the story about him 'agreeing' to come to us. He might yet, but personally I don't think it will happen. We will end up with Hannaghan from Motherwell or the likes.

  10. [On John Gilligan stepping down] Dave King, stated: “After regime change, it was necessary to compile a board who recognised the magnitude of the challenge facing the club and who had the passion and commitment to drive the club’s agenda forward against the obstacles that faced us at that time.

“When I approached John to assist with the rebuilding exercise he unhesitatingly agreed to do so, despite the challenges this would demand of his time given his other extensive business, social and family commitments.

“After years of tireless effort, lobbying, and campaigning to turn Rangers’ fortunes around, John has taken the decision to step down knowing that much of what was required post regime change has already been achieved and that the outstanding requirements have been clearly identified by the board, who have the necessary action plans in place.

“John would now like to concentrate on business and family life, as well as simply being a fan again.

“John is one of the most passionate Rangers fans I have ever known. He brought a great deal to the boardroom table and was never slow to question decisions, or courses of action if he thought there were better options. John always put the interests of supporters first.

“On behalf of the entire board of directors and Rangers supporters everywhere, I would like to thank John for his unflinching support, wisdom and commitment. He is a true Rangers fan.”

  11. I don't know the bloke from Adam but some say he's just what the Board needs and some say he shouldn't be within a mile of it. Who to believe? And why has he gone?

A proper died in the wool fan and a generous hearted guy. I believe an incident took place at the last OF game when he was leaving the box and things got a bit heated with a fan dishing out abuse. That may have been that last straw for him as he's no youngster any more.
