I'm surprised the media hasn't already started to undermine Philippe Clement. He's had a 5 month honeymoon but it won't last and it's only a matter of time before he gets a target painted on his back. Hopefully he knows this is inevitable and is ready to see it for what it is.

The media fawned over Dick Advocaat until they discovered that he wasn’t going to fawn over them and possibly worse, was going to be very successful.

My Dad rates the 1962 side as best ever, the 1st side I remember was from 1974.

Read alot about the 1970 and know they are highly rated!

I think your dad could be right.

Thats all good news. More so on Sterling. How Beale didnt even play him is beyond me

On the occasions when Beale did pick Sterling, I don’t remember much praise for him here.

  4. The truly great R. C. Hamilton, Elgin City, Queens Park, Rangers and Scotland, a couple of small clubs then ending his football career on a high back at the City.

Captain of the cricket club, businessman, educationalist and Lord Provost of Elgin.

  5. City v Arsenal apart, all three should win every one of these games. A City victory over Arsenal or even a draw and the title goes to Anfield.

On the other hand, things don’t usually work out the way you think they will. If they did, bookies would be paupers.

I don’t know the chap in the demob suit at the end of the line but from him, Waddell, Gillick, Thornton, Cox, Duncanson, Caskie, Woodburn, McColl, Young, Brown, Shaw (trying to hide so as not to be seen holding a bunch of flowers) and Mr Struth.

  7. Jock Shaw has already featured in his older days. Here he is again, a callow youth with some of his wee pals, Thornton, Young, Cox, McColl, Rae and Woodburn.
