  1. True, he didn't get a decent run in order to prove himself, but there are question marks about his ability and attitude, since we've only seen him play a handful of games. Also, given the fact that we were so poor defensively, for a large part of the season - would it not be reasonable to assume that a guy with his experience should be able to force his way back into the first team??
  2. This could explain why he's been pish so far at the WC- he's been nervous about whether or not PLG will bring him to Ibrox. Just shows the pulling power we have now that one of Brazil's all time top scorers is more worried about playing Aberdeen on a pishing wet night in November than he is about winning the World Cup. :D
  3. Another transfer rumour. Never heard of the guy personally.... http://www.fansfc.com/frontpage/frontpagenews.asp?newsid=154147
  4. You never know. Le Guen might actually get the best out of him and he might turn out to be a decent player ** he says optimistically**
  5. Dont think it matters who it was really. Good to see the letter printed. Wonder if Mr Speirs will respond...
  6. Whats Tony Roper doing chasing after Le Gaffer?
  7. To be fair, that's all the press have got to go on at the moment. It's not as if he's done many interviews. The only one he's given is to the official website (I think) so it's no surprise to see the papers scratching around for anyone with something tenuous in common, to give their tuppence worth.
  8. I like this ruthless streak that is commented on. Basically if you dont fit it with the stlye of play then you get chopped. No more shall we have a manager sticking with players who clearly aren't good enough.
  9. Hope the Czech's haven't peaked too early but still a good bet to beat Ghana.
  10. Sorry, just realised Craig beet me to it.

I'll second that. You always need someone to laugh at ...

  13. http://www.psg.fr/fr/club/current_team_toplevel/letizi.html ...says here he's 1.87m which I reckon is about 6ft 4(?) - if thats the case lets hope he uses his height and catches crosses.
  14. Kind of agree with you but also think that with all the young players Le Guen seems to be keen to bring to Ibrox that an old head at the back helps to keep things calm and gives confidence to said young 'uns. Perhaps a wise and calculated move?
  15. A cross between Eric Cantona and Mr Bean
  16. Looks like it's done and dusted. Found this on Wikipedia. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lionel_Letizi
  17. Excellent. I've got 2-1 in my score predictor. Any chance it'll stay that way?
  18. More like a Berti Vogts 20 years ago.
  19. Barthez would be a backwards step IMO. We need someone who's mid/late 20's - not another keeper who's about to claim his pension.
  20. I heard on the radio (Talksport methinks) that someone has gone to a bookies and bet £27k on Ecuador. Either he knows something, or he's mad.
  21. I dont think we can really judge who's going to win yet. A team who starts really well might peak to early whereas those that start off slowly then build up some momentum when it comes down to the quarters, semis and finals. My tip will be to watch out for the team thats done quite well but not had so much of a fanfare about their performance.
  22. It's inevitable that it happens but I never like seeing ex-rangers players coming back and facing us. Hope he does well though (but not that well obviously!)

  24. 2-0 to England final score. 2 goals in last 10 minutes - they were shiteing it a wee bit there...
  25. To resolve any dispute there must be sacrifice and concession. If we, as Rangers fans, have to stop singing the one song, which is at the centre of the sectarian allegations, then whats the big deal? I think that the guys who've sat down with Murray have done a great job and I applaud your efforts. If we were to sit back and adopt a 'lets wait and see..' attitude then no doubt the FTP brigade would return with a vengence and this would do all sorts of damage to the club. At least we're doing something!
