  1. The expectation level maybe was high from a fans perspective, they got on the teams case too easily, but the games we aren't winning, we really should be regardless of whether those expectations were in place or not. Hill and Gilks, 2 guys who have played Premiership football, I believe they have lived that expectancy and thrived off it, also long in the tooth as well. You'd hope these guys pass on that to the younger lads but they can only do so much, same with Kenny Miller. Dodoo has had one good game, a memorable one at that and Hodson looks decent, better defensive option to Tav, but in all honesty, he wouldn't be my pick to plough into Europe and challenge for the title with. Seriously needs to be looked at.
  2. ..After watching last night. Most of this team simply does not have the mental strength or consistency to cope with the demand of being a Rangers player. They have shown this from the tail end of last season after stuttering over the line for the Championship, in fact it was immediately after winning at Hampden in the Semi-Final. Right after that game I think the team had the feeling of, "OK we have peaked, we have beaten them, we are the top dogs". It was like they lulled themselves into a false sense of security and week on week afterwards we came to earth with a mighty bump. Come the Premiership season, our signings have been mostly disappointing (this includes our new cult hero), we see glimpses of a good team in games but again that false sense of security kicks in and next week we crash back to earth again, which is what last night was after getting 2 great results against Hearts and Aberdeen, it could easily have been ICT last week. Until this mindset is wiped out we will simply never be in a position to go for the title. This can be done by the current players realising their overconfidence and then lack of, or bringing in players who can withstand the expectations of playing for Rangers. Mark Warburton needs to take some blame for this as well, I know he dodges any issues or negativity with the press, I think he does this simply because it's none of their business, it should be kept within the club, which is fine. I just hope this is the case and within the club, it is being dealt with appropriately and he isn't molly coddling the players like he seems to do with the press, they need to toughen up, simple as that. The footballing ability is there, we have all seen it at some point this season. We now need consistency and mental strength to finish it off, It's a long road ahead, some of us will already know this, but I don't see the light at the end of it just yet....
  3. Will this be on TV? Even just RTV?
  4. He would be willing? Must missed that quote, can someone link me to it?
  5. Why does anyone even have flares on them at games? Most pointless thing ever, doesn't bring atmosphere, doesn't bring cheer, just choking on the smoke for 15 fucking minutes.... Get them to fuck.....
  6. He gets some amount of stick, which has been mostly unwarranted, he has been our best CB in my opinion, i've been a big defender of Kiernan on Twitter, I believe the guy is good for us and he will only get better with age.
  7. If he done it on Tuesday, why no mention of it in Press Conferences which were Wednesday and yesterday?
  8. Gte yourself Browsec addon for Google Chrome, turn it on and change country to UK. Jammin.
  9. Forrester has been awful for me, clumsy on the ball and his finishing has been shocking. He doesn't deserve to be in the lineup for Hamilton. I'd like to see Dodoo or Miller take his spot in the side. Dodoo looked good on the right of the front 3 against Stranraer, looked more comfortable then through the middle. Got a feeling Wilson/Kiernan will be the partnership from the beginning, if they fault when Hill is on their heels to take their place. Hopefully they step up their game because of that factor. Fods been fine all be it with hee haw to do this pre season, same with Gilks. Halliday has done well further up, just needs to again, improve on finishing. Just seeing that team and then listing what we have left in reserve, it's a great feeling indeed.
  10. commented on this on another post, we barely had any injuries last season, I fully believe it is down to the backroom staff conditioning the players correctly and being very close to them at all times, keeping tabs on eating and drinking habits etc.... I imagine this is what Physios and Nutritionist's strive for in their work...
  11. I'd go with that. As much as Warburton doesn't like to say it, he does like a bit of rotation throughout the season.
  12. You're right it is depth, with a month and a half to go we have plenty of time to rectify that. Gauging from last season, we have quite a fit group of players and they have been looked after so well by the backroom staff that we didn't have "many" injuries to speak of for the whole season, apart from a couple of occasions at the tail end. I believe our group can hold it until the end of the window at the latest.
  13. As long as it stops Wilson playing long passes i'm happy..... I think with Rossiter's role i'd like to see him go no further than around the centre circle in the opposition half. Unless we are in complete control.
  14. I feel we have a more than adequate squad to start the season with right now. I think people are getting fidgety at the fact we are so used to players flying in the door during transfer windows that when we go a week or 2 without one we are chomping at the the bit.... The signings will come. But i'm more than happy to kick off this season with what we have right now.
