I may not entirely agree with the wording of the poll choices but I think Smith should do the honourable thing and resign.

Any new manager would need to work with the incompetent players that Smith has signed. Perhaps this person could get more out of the team - especially in an attacking sense - but it would certainly be a difficult job with little or no money provided to do it. Between a rock and a hard place doesn't quite describe this.

Unfortunately, I can't see many managers (especially ones with good reputations to protect) wanting to take over a team who are listless and without a genuine midfield... Smith should resign and we should start from scratch. Obviously to start from scratch would take investment (both emotional and financial) in the club from the chairman/owner. I can't see that happening so we are in big trouble.

Probably. He should have been sold before now though even if it meant taking a hit on the fee to allow us to bring in a new player.

SDM deserves a load of criticism but the person to blame here is the manager unfortunately. He's been backed with serious money and has generally appeared to have wasted it - especially this summer.

Ferguson deserved a lot of criticism for his sub-standard performances last season. However, watching Lee McCulloch attempt to play his role only resulted in us finding out our captain with one leg would be a better player than LM and CD combined. Why the hell was Hemdani (or Furman) not playing ahead of these players?

Amen brother. The whole club's arrogant attitude led by a manager and chairman who have obvious contempt for the fans is the most upsetting thing about all of us. Rangers will win and lose games against the best and worst of opposition. However, one thing that should never be questioned is commitment. The fans have it. I'm not sure who else at Rangers nowadays.

Mate: Another superb post - along with Beattie's thread. The supporters' loyalty has been questions for a number of years now and it becomes clearer with every passing day, the club is not being run as deserved it to be. We need to start again. -

Service is woeful but so is Miller. Quite simply he is not any better than the players we already had in that role so his purchase at �£2million was bordering on the criminal - even without the obvious problems it caused within the support.

Only rumours at this point. IF we don't make the group stages though and especially IF we're knocked out tonight, I'd expect the lad to be sold.

I'm just wondering if it may be a better idea to go all out route one tonight... If we played Velicka, Lafferty and McCulloch all up front, that would certainly be an orthodox British style which may suit us better than trying to play creative football without any such players. May not be the prettiest tactic in the world but if we're going to be direct, we may as well go the whole hog. Such a physically and aerially strong front three would certainly give the opposition something to think about... :devil:
