  1. Brilliant win! What a difference a proper manager can make. But credit to the players, they had to take it today and got it done. Hopefully this will push everyone on even more. Momentum is well on our side at the moment. Watp!
  2. Lovely result at the weekend along with vast improvement in the attitude of the players and the standard of play. Looking forward to the game in midweek now.
  3. Unbelievable result over the two games. Perfect birthday present for me and i think i scared my Mrs half to death when Tav got the 2nd. Buzzing! Need to consolidate the week with a result against Motherwell though. That being said, this will go down as one of our great achievements.
  4. Devastating news. I was heading to bed when I jumped on twitter and was floored with the news. Bawled my eyes out and again when I woke up the next morning. There will probably never be anyone like him ever again. We'll no longer be able to see him on RTV and say to ourselves "aww there's Walter" accompanied with that warm feeling of security. This will take a long time to heal. We've lost our Rangers dad??
  5. Really poor performance. The players have a lot of credit in the bank and I'm not worried per say but we are clearly off the pace and the the build up is nowhere near crisp enough.
  6. Yep, been a Boca fan since I think 2001. A few of the old school regulars will know about this. It started with me working night shifts back in the day and I couldn't sleep when I got home and discovered channel 5(is that still going?) showed a full match from the Argentinean league and highlights from all the other games. I was drawn to Boca because it was Maradonas team and the atmosphere of the crowd. I got chatting to a guy online who was a big fan and we were like pen pals for years exchanging Boca and Rangers stuff like ticket stubs, photos, scarves and the like. Eventually went there, three times including living there for 3 months and went to many games including a Boca-River game which was amazing. So cool to immerse myself in a different fan culture. My friend and I have been like brothers for years now and the goal now is to someday get him to an Old firm game. Attached a wee pic of us at the super classic. Amazing day! It was also the day we won the league at Killie in 12 mins so we watched that in the morning before going to Boca for the derby. One of the best days of my life.
  7. Happy with the result. They're a very capable side but we've seen enough to know we can take them at home providing we play to our capabilities. Thought Hellander was outstanding, Patterson is growing with each game, Kamara put in some shift and Mcgregor - one of the best saves I've ever seen.
  8. Steve's team is very attacking tonight... Arfield, Alfie and Roofe. Lets go!
  9. The system is a joke and has clear flaws. Let's focus on the Roofe incident. It's a red card, it's reckless and dangerous albeit non violent conduct. The referee books him(coming back to this). The incident is flagged by whomever as well as given maximum exposure on Tbs and from there the CO goes to the ref asking if he saw all of the incident. This is to me coercion. In asking the referee this question it indicates to him his mistake is apparent and has been highlighted. Natural instinct is to protect himself in many if not all occasions. But the question should also be raised of if you didn't see all of the incident then how can you constitute that it is a yellow card offence? Makes absolutely no sense at all and makes you wonder just how much peer pressure was in his ears inside the corridors of the sfa to "have another few looks at it, are you sure about this one son?" Of course there's plenty not being cited. St Johnston boy on Roofe earlier in the season, the lad for Hamilton on goldson just last week where he's looking at the goldson before he delivers a forearm/elbow... (Alfie was done for pretty much the same and one of the reasons was it was premeditated), Kane for St Johnston with a reckless studs up challenge on Davis in the recent game at Ibrox, nothing done there... The whole thing is a disgrace and I'm sure the club will be doing all they can to make changes but not holding my breath.
  10. Rangers need to put a response out on this asap. Thistle did so some 9 hrs ago. 9hrs ago Rangers were tweeting about their new fucking app. Disappointed, angered and embarrassed massively by this.
  11. So long as that wee bouncing ball isn't Andy Cameron's heid?
  12. "He got a real pretty mouth ain't he?" ? Top movie.
  13. I LOVE away days/inside Ibrox. My go to on RTV.
  14. Still waiting on Lennon being cited by the CO for his interviews regarding the referees decision to send Bitton off in the OF game. I'm not holding my breath...
  15. As a fan this is working out as I'd hoped. I said to my step dad in the weeks leading up to the OF how I'd like it to pan out. I wanted them to go on a mini run and then lose to us at Ibrox because it would hurt them more. In essence, the fact they played really well for 40 odd minutes and still couldn't score, then we go on to win was an extra dagger I wasn't expecting but most welcomed. Now what I want to see is us emptying the tank. The next block of 4 is crucial. If we show we can consolidate the Ibrox win, it will burn them more. It's so much about the mental aspect during this stage. Nothing is done yet but we need to keep chipping away because it's two fold... It gets us closer to 55 and at the same time throws them further into chaos!
  16. Walteresk performance if ever there was one. Tremendous result, let's enjoy and keep it going.
  17. Horrendous half from us. Thank fuck for Shagger. Game absolutely passing Aribo by and Kent can't seem to make a 5 yard square pass. Only positive is the score. I'd put Zungu in. We need someone to put tackles in.
  18. I see us probably going to our European style for this game being happy to hit them on the counter. Midfield is going to be absolutely key, as usually is. My only slight concern is with Jack and Arfield out we have plenty of skill and endeavour but perhaps lack bite in the tackle. If it becomes a cluster fuck in that midfield it may suit them giving that they'll be trying to break our rhythm. We need to play it smart, they need the win so we don't have to hammer and tongs it leaving ourselves open. Hoping we draw them out and pick them off from there. I'm confident that with the front 3's movement they'll be all over the place. Go for the win but pick our moments.
  19. Fantastic result today. Hibs are a dangerous team and it was head in hand stuff for the last 15 but we got over the line. Results are all that matter in this period of the season. Every win is more pressure on the throat of that lot. I'm delighted.
  20. Slight bit of squeeky bum time at the end and not because they offered anything second half, more incase they got a lucky one. Fantastic result against hammer throwers and a pitch that cut up badly. Poor Alfie had a mare, it just won't drop for him. Great free kick and header from Tav and Goldson, our captain and vice captain stood up for us today. Job done!
  21. We're going to have to dig this out today. Can't see them keeping up this intensity for the 90. Could be a day for our subs.
  22. Cruised it today, good professional performance and it's another game out of the way. Now onto winning the group on Thursday!
