  1. By David Melvin MAN of the match Pedro Mendes enjoyed an Ibrox debut that lived up to his expectations as he helped his new side to a 2-0 win over Hearts. The Portuguese midfielder's impressive first performance at the heart of the Gers' midfield was recognised by fans in the stadium who chose him as their pick of the bunch from a successful afternoon. A fine array of skills and an eye for a pass were evident in everything the 29-year-old did on his first appearance in a Rangers shirt. And he admits that his first Ibrox experience lived up to his pre match expectations. He said: "It was a game where everything went well and the support from the fans was fantastic. "It's nice to be picked as man of the match but I am just pleased with the performance and of course with the win. "It was a fantastic atmosphere, but I was expecting that as everyone I have spoken with has said 'Pedro, you will love Ibrox' and they were right." Mendes suffered some cramp towards the end of the match after a whirlwind move ended with him in the starting line up a little over 24 hours after his arrival at Murray Park on Friday. The former Portsmouth man admitted it was a tiring few days, but he's looking forward to a bright future in the Scottish game and ahead to next weekend's meeting with Aberdeen. He added: "It's always good to start with a win, but I'm a little tired now. Everything went so quickly, I only arrived in Glasgow yesterday and it was a busy day with the medical and signing. "I only managed a little bit of jogging yesterday and then the game today, but everything went well so I'm happy with that. "I was tired towards the end of the game. I hadn't slept much since hearing about the move but now hopefully with the training my fitness will go up again. "I was pleased with the game, it was an open match and Hearts played well - they have some good footballers. "So it was an open game and that wasn't too much of a surprise to me so I'm looking forward to the next match."
  2. We have a little over 2 weeks of the transfer window left and there is STILL no new midfielders at Murray Park. Sometimes WS does his business on the quiet like the signing of Bougherra which came out of the blue - so we have a tiny bit of hope that a deal could be done somewhere but i wont hold my breath until i see a player in a blue shirt. I still think Davis is likely but we still need more than him. I can also see him being played out of position if he does sign. Davis had a few good games for us when playing next to Ferguson but signing Davis alone doesnt fill me with confidence. In that 2 weeks we couldnt face a tougher fixture card. Hearts at Ibrox and Aberdeen and Celtic away. Right now with that team that played at Falkirk i dont fancy us to get anymore than 5 points from that 3 games. With the Cuellar sale, the pressure is now at peak for Murray, Bain and Smith.
  3. Im not at all surprised we went out, its been on the cards since pre season as last seasons form and poor players have continued. And playing Liverpool last saturday!! The only thing I can say is well done SDM for that one as the revenue was badly needed!! Maybe most Gers fans will realise the team is FULL of average run of the mill SPL players. In the current squad only Cuellar, Papac, Hemdani, Ferguson, Novo and Cousin have the ability for a Rangers shirt with the exception of the new players and youngsters like Fleck who need a chance. A comment on a few players: I dont know what McGregor is doing at the moment but id start with Alexander this weekend until AM gets his finger out. Whittaker - 1 solo goal is the only thing he has ever done. Weir - Its sad when we are relying on a 38 yr old at the back. Papac - He's been impressive. Broadfoot - A typical WS signing similar to the likes of Bollan in the 90s. I cringe when I see him in a blue jersey. Webster - We'd be better off taking someone from A&E Dailly - Another who has gone way of the boil and shouldnt be in the team McCulloch - Imposter compared to the player who first signed Adam - He's too easy to criticise but he should be sacked first thing in the morning. Thomson - Everyone on here has raved about him, for me ive never seen much to impress except in a handful of games. Id rather we got Scott Brown TBH Hemdani - WS doesnt rate him which is a shame Novo - I like the wee man and shows the exact attitude the others should. Miller - He is in for a hard season unless he gets off the mark Boyd - Kilmarnock was his level Darcheville - Cant even complete 90 mins but WS plays him
  4. http://cultzeros.co.uk/ Found this site, quality it is. Basically you pick a picture of a player, choose your size, shirt colour, and picture colour. You then choose what you want it to say underneath. I've got 1 and have 2 on the way, very good quality. I got Ehiogu, (Rangers 1-0 Celtic), Novo (Manchester, brace yourself) then underneath the face (Rangers are coming!!) and the other shirt I ordered was Cuellar, (Rangers centre-half).
  5. Guys, I recieved this offer in a newsletter a few weeks ago. Thought i would post incase anyone is interested If you goto the site in my signature you can see offer there  CentreBet Free Official Team Shirt Promotion Not the usual bit of pocket money, but a nice freebie nonetheless. Centrebet are often overlooked by punters because they donââ?¬â?¢t put their odds on Oddschecker, but they are a very good bookmaker with lots of good special offers. They offer competitive odds on Golf and football as well as providing SP+ for horse racing which means youââ?¬â?¢re guaranteed to beat SP. Theyââ?¬â?¢re also listed on the Australian Stock Exchange. The offer In a bid to attract more clients, CentreBet are offering new customers a free replica shirt of the team of their choice. This might be Manchester United, Real Madrid or England should you wish. Itââ?¬â?¢s not free, but hereââ?¬â?¢s how you can get a shirt worth Ã?£44 for around a fiver. 1. Open an account with CentreBet and insert the promotional Code FREESHIRT 2. Place a bet to the value of ââ??¬50 or Ã?£40 on the outright winner on ONE of the following markets: English Premiership Spanish La Liga Italian Serie A German Bundesliga Australian A-League Norwegian Tippeligaen Scottish Premier League UEFA Champions League 3. We suggest the following: 1. Back Real Madrid to win the Spanish La Liga at 1.95 Ã?£40. 2. Lay Real Madrid to win the Spanish La Liga at 2.22 Ã?£35 If Real Madrid win you lose Ã?£4.70, if Real Madrid lose you lose Ã?£7.00. Your money is tied up for the whole season, but there are other options available such as laying Real Madrid later in the season in the hope of a better price. Options 1. Keep your replica shirt and wear it with a smug smile, knowing you paid Ã?£7 for something that is worth Ã?£44. 2. Sell the shirt on Ebay for a profit. Anything over Ã?£10 and youââ?¬â?¢re quids in. 3. You could request lower odds than 2.22 on betfair to reduce your loss to less than a fiver. You might not get matched, but it might be worth a go.
  6. Jeroen van den Broeck has completed his move from Rangers to AGOVV in Holland. The attacking midfielder has signed a contract with the Eerste Divisie outfit after a successful trial period. He has already been allocated the number 24 shirt for the new season after convincing the Apeldoorn club he was worth taking on. The 19-year-old failed to make a single first team appearance at Ibrox and has previously undergone a trial with Brugge. The Gers snapped the Belgian up after spotting him playing amateur football in Spain. === i didnt know anything about the boy - anyone ever seen him?
  7. Over the years i have been confused by the term ââ?¬Å?he isââ?¬Â or ââ?¬Å?he is notââ?¬Â Rangers class. I always wondered how that was measured? Are there fans who keep a count of every player, every move that playerââ?¬â?¢s make, sum it up and make a judgement? Are you Rangers class when you pull on the royal blue jersey or do you grow into it? According to most fans, most of the current team are not Rangers class, so wearing a royal blue shirt or European performances and achievements donââ?¬â?¢t seem to make you Rangers class. Kris Boyd scores for fun so he must be Rangers class.. Thatââ?¬â?¢s it cracked I thought. scoring goals makes you Rangers class. Well no! Many supporters donââ?¬â?¢t rate Kris Boyd Rangers class at all, Mark Hately was judged Rangers class, but scored no where near the amount of goals per season that Kris Boyd does. So seemingly being Rangers class has nothing to do with scoring goals. Bob Malcolm, would have died in action for the Rangers, but again it did not make him Rangers class So having a Rangers heart as big as a golf Umbrella does not make you Rangers class. Not getting really anywhere near the answer I wanted, I thought I would look at it from the management side.. A manager must know if a player is Rangers class when he signs him. Then I thought, what if the manager is not Rangers class, will he know if a player is Rangers class or not?. Do we judge a manager on the amount of players in the team, who are Rangers class? That only produced more questions than answers. If you ask most Rangers supporters, who in the last years had Rangers class, then Brian Luadrup will be on most supporters tongues. That is actually quite frightening. Brian hardly got a game for Fiorentina, AC Milan or Chelsea. So how great is this Rangers class? If Brian Laudrup could not cut it in the top leagues then which Rangers player could do it now? As it would now seem, Rangers class has evolved from the shadows of Italian football through the Austrian leagueââ?¬â?¢s and now reached the level of the SPL and English Championship. Now the Question has to be, has Rangers class remained anchored to a level that no present player can ever hope to achieve or has the Rangers class bar been lowered? Who is Rangers class in our present team? To be honest I donââ?¬â?¢t really know..
  8. I hope he does come back stronger and better but i would rather he produced the goods before shouting his mouth off.
  9. Quite sure this is the real deal, was on Football Shirt Culture which is rarely wrong.
  10. Hopefully come Monday morning UPS will deliver me a pair of UEFA cup final tickets. £600 quid plus a Rangers shirt is the cost. Money well spent imo. :D :D

    New shirt's

Does anyone know when the new shirts are expected to be out? Id love it for the summer, when I got on me jollys.
  12. Got to get some good T-shirt slogans going. I will start with: Manchester Bound Wish us luck Bhoys. Maybe Frankie can paintshop the best one.
  13. So, who is the most fickle fan you know. My two candidates are: 1. My son! Wearing his Barca top (he wears nowt else) we last night sat down for the Man Utd v Barca game when he asked, "Dad, is Ronaldinho playing?" I reply, "He doesn't play for them anymore". My son got up to walk out and said, "I don't support them anymore". (Well he'd better give me that £40 replica shirt back then!) 2. My sons mate! Last week they were playing Playstation and I said to young Adam (a Liverpool 'fan'), "Liverpool are playing Chelsea in the CL semi, it's on TV right now". His reply, "So what". And while watching the game alone I noticed another lad sauntering along aimlessly in the street wearing a Liverpool top while his team were live on TV during the biggest game of the season! Amazing! So who do you know who is the 'I used to support Man Utd but I support Chelsea now because they're winning' type person?
  14. Now as you all know he was a class of his own. One of the best forward players ever to wear the Rangers shirt. Had a wee look on Wiki as I am at work and soundly bored off my tits. Now think how sublime a sight it was to see Brian dance past the 'tic defence when they were at Hampdump when Torbett Towers was being lego'd together, and then think - he was worst of the Laudrup's!! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brian_Laudrup Have a look at Brian, and then have a look at Michael. Fook me!
  15. B&Q SCAM I'm not usually one for posting warnings about potential scams but I had a close call yesterday. I walked into B&Q hardware store at lunchtime and some old guy dressed in a black shirt and wearing an orange apron on asked me if I wanted decking. Fortunately, I got the first punch in and sorted the b*stard out. Those less suspecting might not be so lucky!! Pass this warning on.

    Taxi!!!

After the old firm defeat on Saturday, Gordon Strachan was quick to defend his players. During the game Rangers defended them easily as well. Strachan has been seen nosing around the ladies underwear department in the Rangers store. He is looking for a rangers slip. Celtic fans are blaming Thomson for diving and simulating injury. In the second half their whole team lay down and played dead.. Rangers players may be accepted into the magic Circle. Every time they play Celtic they make Nakamura disappear. Wee Gordon said after the game the communication between the two strikers failed by an inch. Jan is a Fannygoer and Georgios would rather Sam your ass. Samaras dodged his national service which he will have to do if he returns to Greece after his career. Seems he hates leading the front line . Over the last few years Rangers have come a cropper from Nil by mouth. Wee Gordon has changed things around for us by bringing in Nil by Choices. What do Celtic fans do after an old firm victory? They turn off the Play Station. What is the difference between Cinderella and Artur Boruc? Cinderella gets to the ball! It was reported that Richard Branson was considering sponsoring Celtic? Apparently, he pulled out because he didn't feel it was right have 'Virgin' written across the shirt of a team that gets focked every Saturday. Taxi!!!!!

    Rugger

Police today found a body of a dead man wearing an England rugby shirt, suspenders and stockings, bright red lipstick and mascara, a blow-up doll stuck to the end of his d1ck and a dildo stuck up his bum. Police safely removed the shirt to spare his family any further embarrassment !
  21. ...this is what the new Rangers shirt could look like next season... Not too bad actually if they take the red out of it...
  22. Why not......... :moon: I used to have a tshirt that said that!! Lets laugh at them for being them!!
  23. If Carlsberg made jokes these would be the best jokes in the world!
  24. RULES: This is going to do your head in, but it can be done. Apparently this is an IQ test given to job applicants in Japan : "Everybody has to cross the river". The following rules apply: Max. 2 persons on the raft at a time The father can not stay with any of the daughters, without their mother's presence. The mother can not stay with any of the sons, without their father's presence. The thief (striped shirt) can not stay with any family member, if the Policeman is not there. Only the Father, the Mother and the Policeman know how to operate the raft. To start click on the big blue circle on the right. To move the people click on them. To move the raft click on the pole on the opposite side of the river. Here is a link to a Japanese IQ Test... http://freeweb.siol.net/danej/riverIQGame.swf This had me going for a bit, got it eventually.
