  3. Now that Nike have taken over Umbro what will it really mean for the fan who wants a strip from a shop. Will we have the Nike brand shirt next year - more expense for us all? Will it make it available in a wider scale? Any thoughts Gents?
  4. I recently ordered the new West Ham away top from the West Ham website. It eventually got here via my folks place but when I opened it there was a tiny hole on the front which could have even been from me opening the package with scissors. However I called up West ham and told them and they said i should return it and they will replace it. But i explained that it will take 1 week to send it over then another week to get my new one and they may sell out (coz the internet sales is separate from the club shop and they ran out last month) and i want to wear the shirt. So the supervisor came on the phone and said considering im at the other end of the world as a goodwill gesture i can destroy the one i have and they will send a new one free of charge. I asked if they were nuts as i could be lying and im prepared to email the hole but they said its ok. Ive kept the shirt ive got coz the hole is almost unnoticeable and they sent a new shirt already to my folks place. So now i have 2 away shirts. That was top quality customer service
  5. It's my brother's 18th on Nov 7 and as you may know there's the small matter of Barcelona away that very day. I was thinking of buying him a present that he could keep to remind himself of his 18th and also possibly the biggest game Rangers have played in in his life. So far my (unoriginal) ideas are either the home shirt (because it's always best to have a royal blue Rangers home jersey) or the white/purple away shirt, which we will likely play in at the Nou camp, with something on the back. For my 21st I got a Rangers jersey with my surname and 21 on the back. But instead of Surname 18, I was thinking of getting Barca 07 on his for obvious reasons. My preference atm is Barca 07 on the away shirt. What does everyone think or does anyone have a better idea for marking the occasion?
  6. Since the start of the calendar year Walter Smith has came in and installed stability into the Rangers team again and we finished last season strong in the league. There was huge question marks in the summer as to whether David Murray would stump up some cash so we could add to our thin squad. We werent asking for Henry and Rooney but just enough to improve and start climbing the mountain again. Murray supplied the cash and we now have players in abundance. Not every player will be a good buy but when money is tight at Rangers its important the manager buys well and id rather go for more experienced players than potential talent. There isnt wrong with having 1 or 2 potential talented players in the squad and let them gain experience and gradually build up the younger ones. But I have to question a couple of Smiths buys. Thomson just hasnt done it for me. He has had a handful of good games but I now think he is struggling. Whittaker reminds me in a Smith buy from the 90s when we were able to throw a few million at players who dont work out but the RM isnt near settled and he looks a terrible buy. It is early days for him and we hope he transforms this soon. Naimsith is a player whom we chased and chased - He hasnt featured much so cant be really judged but he hasnt started too badly at all. The other SPL talent that was bought havent kicked a ball - Gow and Broadfoot. The latter was always going to be a squad player but many thought Gow could play apart and his game is a attack minded with creativity - something we havent had this year. Now Im not for one minute slamming Walter as we are sitting nicely in all competitions but we got a few reminders last season with poor draws towards the end of the season that complacieny (sp) must be eradicated from our play. We have had 2 away games in a row in the SPL and turned up poorly twice not looking like a team who has played together. Our next 3 games are Hibs, Celtic and Dundee Utd - 3 of the 4 sides making up the top 4 in the league along with ourselves. I think Walter needs to work out his best team sooner rather than later and he MUST start bringing others in who deserve a chance. We dont need major re-shuffling, just a wee tweak here and there. The CL games will differ from SPL matches but only in the shape of the side which would mean a couple of changes at most. Our chopping and changing should be left until forced upon us with injuries and suspensions and for the League cup games. I think everyman and his dog would have Novo in the team right now. he offers 110%, wants to play for the shirt and scores goals. And there is a huge shout for Hemdani to play again. Gow and Buffel need to get mileage onto them again so id be bringing them on for the last 30 mins of games until they are ready for a start.
  7. Bradford City Post an uglier one if you can
  8. This is wierd, Ive been thinking it for a while that these type people are not right in the head. Its all very well taking 4 children from poor countries and giving them a rich life but the kids wont have a clue who there real parents will be nor will the have a clue who is raising them as I guarentee it will be AJ's maids who do everything. I bet she hasnt changed 1 nappy. Anyway then i came across this letter on MSN - pretty spot on.
  9. Say why you picked this partnership ? Anyway We have Boyd, everyone knows what he can do, give him a sniff you know he is either going to score or muck it up but the last two seasons he has showed he is a top striker by scoring 30 goals + each season. I think he has an extra yard in him this season but still not fast enough IMO and not good at holding up the ball. No doubt he is a top striker though Darcheville, seems to be coming a fans favourite, making a sub's appearance against Falkirk and scored 2. Sub's appearance against Kilmarnock, set up 1 and scored 1, last of all came on against Gretna and brightened up the game with his pace. Just mentioned there his pace, he is a heavy guy but my god he is fast, lets sum him up in one word, a TANK . He holds the ball up well as we seen in our recent european games. Certainly becoming a fans favourite, especially his celebration we all love when he salutes the fans Cousin, came in and scored of the bench on his debut. Scored 2 against Falkirk as well. Very good at shooting, loads of power behind it, but one thing is that he looks a bit lazy and un-intrested at times, a bit like Boyd. But the difference is if you get the ball to his feet he can turn on a bit of pace and trickery. Novo, well we all know what we Nacho is like, gives 200% every game he plays for the Gers, he knows what it means to play for this club. He is not the best player in the world but he trys his hardest all credit to the wee man. Been giving the title of super sub this season, rightly so, came on against Red Star and got us through to the champions league, also scored a great goal against Chelsea. Think the days of Nacho starting from the start are over unless he starts on the right wing. He has a masive amount of respect for Walter Smith and he knows he has to be pacient. Naismith, as had 10 minutes in a ger shirt but we have seen over the years and Kilmarnock that he has magnificent tallent. Scored a great goal at Ibrox last season for Kilmarnock to beat us 1-0 so no doubt he doesn't fear playing in front of 50,000 fans.

The Darlington-born midfielder has played for England at youth level, but the 21-year-old has now opted to play for Scotland following talks with Scots boss Alex McLeish. "After having a chat with Alex McLeish I have chosen to play for Scotland," he told the Daily Record. "I was born in England and I believe I could do a job for them but it was a question of how long I wanted to wait. "But I've got the chance to help Scotland now and I'm really looking forward to pulling on the shirt." Don't know anything about this guy,but if it helps Scotland then great
  13. What would your name be? I'm Gavildo and chose the number 8 shirt.
  14. Always thought Maclean should have got a chance at Ibrox as he scores goals but Rae was the most average player ive ever seen in a Rangers shirt. And I thought Rae wanted a move to England, now he has ended up in Wales :fish:
  15. I will never wear a green and white striped tee shirt. I will wear a totally green tee shirt. Green and white stripes from top to bottom i wouldn't buy a tee-shirt but would wear it as a football strip(playing for a team) I would never play for a team wearing the hoops unless it was professional. I would play for Celtic if offered a professional contract. I will never buy shoes called Celtic's and put pressure on my family not to buy(http://www.celtics.nl/) I will(and do) drive in a green car. If Neil Lennon was dying i would try to resuscitate him. If he offered me his shirt i would would refuse it(Being nice)
  16. Will be good if he starts, watched him on Saturday and he was taking the piss out of Dunfermline. You will probably see Webster play as well, along with Lennon
  17. These are the first two comments in the records hotline today. The first one contradicts herself by letting EVERYONE know about their past exploits.... and didnt tic have the bright idea of putting the star to celebrate their 'european exploits' AFTER Rangers put the 5 stars on their shirt. Correct me if im wrong but i think so. Second comment is just stupid, we've all acknowledged we're embarrsed by the past few seasons... but (a) we have qualified for the CL yet and (b) why should we be embarrased about qualifing through finishing 2nd? Its Uefa who have given the SPL these options.
  18. Hemdani has been our most consistent performer this season. He does the job he is asked to do and is tactically disciplined. When he has ventured forward, it´s been in games when we were getting beaten and were looking for a goal Celtic, december 2006 and Osasuna (H)...last minute goals. To say he is limited as a player and then watch the execution of his goal against Osasuna from the camera angle directly behind the play doesn´t make sense, rarely do you see such a goal at Ibrox....why? Because the players that tend to play there haven´t got the technical ability/poise to do it in a match situation. When asked he played in central defence and did well moping up the play and getting the ball forwards to a blue shirt. Had he played with Weir I´m sure they would have been a good partnership but Svensson wasn´t dominate in the air which meant an obvious weakness. Saying that they had a lot of clean sheets. His tackling isn´t a strong point but staying on your feet, reading the game and being in the right place is often a preferred option to "getting inta them", the scottish way which has come back from european games so many times with it´s tail between it´s legs. Hemdani is no Zidane, he lacks speed aswell but again that is shown up when the rest of the midfield is pedestrian, we should have some speed in their to compliment Hemdani. IMHO Hemdani is the best example of a footballer we currently have at Rangers. It is true though that this shows a club our size up, why ? Well for one thing we need a dynamic forward who has talent/speed to change the big games and secondly it shows up the scottish footballing culture. Ferguson could and should be POTY given his ability but he´s not making the most out of his career due to his professionalism being intermittent. He´s done better than his brother and Charlie Miller but you can´t help feeling he could have been better.
  19. SO sang TBO at the mhanks after their party was as falt as a 2 day opened bottle of Magners. I have been to some aweful parties in my time, but yesterdays so called 'begger fest' was the worst by a long shot. The music they supplied was appauling and the volume was very low for long periods of the so called party. The invitees were ulgy, badly dressed and very, very smelly. Their behaviour was terrible but as usual went largely unnoticed by the authorities. However, next door to the begger fest was a different type of party - one that was attended by the 'good folks' who acted superbly, had a fantastic playlist of music and who, generally goaded the begger fest as it didn't really get into full swing.. Big Jock Knew Sebo's On We're Taking The Piss If You Think The Priest Was Guilty Clap Your Hands You're In The Wrong Fooking Country Oh This Is Some Fooking Party Come On Over To My Place, Hey TIMS We're Havin A Party and to the Tim near TBO section with his Boaby Sands scarf and T-Shirt - 'Who Got Buried In A Pencil Case....' :flipa: One swallow doesn't make a summer, but I'll tell you what, no matter what happens on the pitch, lets pray thanks to God that we aren't Tims. Imagine waking every day of you're life knowing that you are a smelly, ugly, repugnet Tim.... Cammy F
  20. Just moments after leading PSV Eindhoven to their third successive Eredivisie title, club captain Phillip Cocu announced that he will leave the club this summer. PSV's 5-1 win over Vitesse Arnhem saw them pip Ajax to the title with a goal difference better by just one. Cocu then confirmed that Sunday's match had been his last in a PSV shirt, although he is not yet certain whether he will retire or play elsewhere. "There is a possibility I will play next season," he said. "Not at PSV, but a foreign adventure is possible." He will probably go to Quatar but he could still do a job for us. One of the best players of this time.
  21. Anyone know a good site for getting t-shirts printed. Decent quality with pictures and slogans. Just one-offs as well, not wanting large batches.
  22. A Big River Crossing the Clyde I see herââ?¬Â¦..from a distanceââ?¬Â¦.this hugely impressive and imposing feature on the landscapeââ?¬Â¦and despite the many many times I have stood inside herââ?¬Â¦.she never fails to amaze me. She is, and always will be, more than just bricks and mortar. For within in her are tales of heroismââ?¬Â¦.of dreams fulfilledââ?¬Â¦of overwhelming joy and unbearable sadness. While around her the traditions of a people, such as shipbuilding, have flounderedââ?¬Â¦she has flourished. Flourished because of her importanceââ?¬Â¦her significance to a people who saw themselves, their dreams, their culture reflected in a football club. The honest endeavour of the welderââ?¬Â¦the stevedoreââ?¬Â¦the toolmaker were reflected in the 11 blue jerseys which emerged from the tunnel at 3pm on a Saturday afternoon. For playing for the Rangers was the ultimate achievement of the working manââ?¬Â¦epitomised by the late great Alex Willoughby whose impressive performances had attracted the attention of the famous Manchester United. Logic ruled that Alex would make the journey south of the border to weave his magic at Old Trafford for higher wages. Some time later he told an astonished press who had pointed out to him everything he was sacrificing after his rejection of the move, that Manchester United could not give him the one thing he desired most in the worldââ?¬Â¦..to pull on the blue shirt of the Rangers every Saturday afternoon. And such sentiment is not unique. When it was pointed out to one of greatest talents ever to have graced the game of football, the late great Davie Cooper, ( a rare talent which caused the former Scottish manager Ally McLeod to commentââ?¬Â¦."Davie Cooper is so skilful he could beat three men in a telephone box with a beach ball.") that with his unique skill and talent he could have plied his trade anywhere in the world his answer was both simple and honestââ?¬Â¦Ã¢â?¬ÂI played for the club I loved what more could I ask for ?ââ?¬Â Iââ?¬â?¢m willing to bet that like meââ?¬Â¦.many of you reading that last paragraphââ?¬Â¦now have a tear in the eye. This ladies and gentlemen isââ?¬Â¦Ã¢â?¬Â¦. Rangers Football Club. She is awesomeââ?¬Â¦she is uniqueââ?¬Â¦she is beyond comparison. She is not to be taken for grantedââ?¬Â¦nor is she the plaything of rich businessmen. Not only is she a football clubââ?¬Â¦she is far more than thatââ?¬Â¦she is a reflection of a peopleââ?¬Â¦ their strugglesââ?¬Â¦their dreams and aspirations. Her success reflects their determination to succeed against all the oddsââ?¬Â¦to keep the faithââ?¬Â¦quite literallyââ?¬Â¦ to keep believing. Therefore let us never fail to defend herââ?¬Â¦or the people who built herââ?¬Â¦or the people who every day make a sacrifice to ensure she is well supported. The things that are not boughtââ?¬Â¦the family which is left behindââ?¬Â¦because we have a foreign trip next week and the sense of duty to follow follow is so very very strong.Itââ?¬â?¢s the same mentality which caused Alex Willoughby to sacrifice much to pull on a blue jersey every Saturday afternoon. We carry her in our hearts and we will never let her go until our last breath passes. And I for one would not have it any other way. In a post which sought its source from the honest endeavour and professionalism of the British shipbuilderââ?¬Â¦.perhaps I will leave the summing up to Mr Jimmy Nailââ?¬Â¦his words seem to reflect much of what I am trying to sayââ?¬Â¦. ââ?¬Å?The neptune was the last to go, I heard it on my radio And then they played the latest number one But what do they do all day? And what are they supposed to say? What does a father tell his son? If you believed that theres a bond between our future And our past Then try to hold on to what we had, We build them strong, we built to last cause this is a mighty town, Its built upon solid ground And everything they tried so hard to kill, We will rebuild This was a big river I want you all to know that I was proud This was a big river, but that was long ago, Thats not now This is a big river, And in my heart I know it will rise again The river will rise againââ?¬Â RANGERS FOREVER
  23. what do we think of it!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AVIxw4-b-QI Shite t- shirt fran has on A mellow tune IMO Del.
  24. Donââ?¬â?¢t know if anyone has noticed a ââ?¬Ë?political bannerââ?¬â?¢ that has been present at the previous two Rangers matches (Killie away, Falkirk at home)? It bears the legend ââ?¬Ë?End Bigotry Now ââ?¬â?? Donââ?¬â?¢t Vote Labourââ?¬â?¢ (or something similar). Now, not knowing the people behind the banner, I would assume that this serves two purposes, sticking 2 fingers up to Joke McConnell and the Catholic mafia that run Scottish Labour, and being somewhat tongue in cheek. Anyway, it appears that Lawrence ââ?¬Ë?Larryââ?¬â?¢ McIntyre has taken offence at the banner and had it removed from the Copland Front on Sunday and has invited its owners to a meeting in his office. Now, lets take away whether you actually agree with the sentiment of the banner (I agree with it!), but is there to take offence to? It appears that Larry is quite happy to accommodate Timmy with their ââ?¬Ë?politicalââ?¬â?¢ songs and banners at Ibrox, as well as, to a lesser extent Abergreen. If you will, Iââ?¬â?¢d like to digress here for a while and examine the tangled web woven by Timmyââ?¬â?¢s political stance. They happily sing ââ?¬Ë?political songsââ?¬â?¢ in support of a racist, murdering gang yet portray themselves as ââ?¬Ë?socialistsââ?¬â?¢. They campaign for a United Ireland, yet support a region of Spain who want independence from Spain (and who will use murderous tactics to gain this independence ââ?¬â?? oh wait, is there a theme developing here?). Also, to a man, theyââ?¬â?¢ll vote for a unionist party here in Scotland / UK????? They will happily fly the Cuban Flag for Castro, along side photos of the Kennedy Clan ââ?¬â?? WTF, surely not even the twisted and bitter mind of a Yahoo can support both Castro and the Kennedyââ?¬â?¢s? You bet they canââ?¬Â¦. You think this is unfathomable, well, could anyone explain how a Yahoo can fly both the flag of the Vatican and the Che Guevara flags? Old Che would be spinning in his graveââ?¬Â¦ Anyway, back to my point, if I can remember what it wasââ?¬Â¦. Oh, aye, what is Larryââ?¬â?¢s thinking? His boss is no lover of the Labour Party, so does the ex-cop have a hidden agenda here, or is he just a knobend? I think a bit of both. A little postscript to this ââ?¬Ë?politicalââ?¬â?¢ thread, your old mukka Cammy was ââ?¬Ë?chasedââ?¬â?¢ from Ibrox in the 80ââ?¬â?¢s for naively, nay stupidly making a ââ?¬Ë?political statementââ?¬â?¢ in the guise of a Sex Pistols ââ?¬Ë?God Save The Queenââ?¬â?¢ t-shirt and Iââ?¬â?¢ll admit that Larry wasnââ?¬â?¢t the one who ââ?¬Ë?chasedââ?¬â?¢ meââ?¬Â¦.:admin: Cammy F ââ?¬â?? Donââ?¬â?¢t Vote Catholic Mafia Controlled Labour
  25. Continuing from my other thread, Walter has a few months to decide the Ins and Outs of the team but mainly who he thinks wont cut it at Ibrox. Firstly Walter has let two flops go (Letizi and JRod) although Jrod performed in occassion last season. But he was average at best (despite him getting a france call up). Its a shame Weir is 36 and Ehiogu is 34, but i think we can get 2 good years out of Ugo. We need Gavin Rae to move on, he is well out his depth in the SPL never mind in a Rangers shirt. Id also let Nacho Novo go. He has been a good servant and gave 200% but he cant repeat his 25 goal season from a few years back. We also have Prso playing for another year but the jury is out with Sebo as he asnt had a chance. Id like Lee McCulloch and Scott Brown in and an experienced goal scorer.
