Recommended films and TV

You could do a lot worse than going to see the fabulous Vincent Cassel in Mesrine Killer Instinct and the follow up Public Enemy Number 1. Both are on at the moment in Cineworld. Based on the exploits of one of France's most notorious criminals, this two part story showcases Cassel at his very best.

Don't really watch movies but recently i have went to the cinema and watched :

The Hangover - Brillaint comedy, had everyone laughing in the cinema throughout the movie. Would recommend to watch. About an American group of guys that go for a stag doo ( bachelor party ? ) in Vegas, then they wake up in the morning and forget what happened on the previous night. They lost the husband and try to find him, while trying to find up they find out things they done the night before

9/10, really funny

Final Destination 4 - Pants !! Watched it in 3D which a few things fly towards your face, things stand out more etc but nothing spectacular. Just the same as the other 3, ending is really poor

2/10

Went to see Inglorious Basterds last week, first time I've been to the cinema in over a year. Well worth a watch IMO.

So did I however, with about 10 minutes remaining of the film the projector broke so we never got to see the ending. We did get 2 free tickets to any film of our choice.

District 9 - 8/10 - Best Sci-Fi I've seen in ages...This year at least. Lord of the Rings director Peter Jackson produced and provided the CGI for this tale of alien refugees in Johannesburg. It's been getting a lot of rave reviews and in some ways you could say it's a little over-rated, but at the same time it's definitely worth a watch. The gory humour and over the top effects reminded me a lot of Verhoeven films like Robocop and Starship Troopers.

Drag Me to Hell - 7/10 - Story about a woman cursed by a gypsy. Sounds like crap and probably would have been if it wasn't for director Sam Raimi giving it the 'Evil Dead' treatment.

Watchmen - 7/10 - From Zack Snyder (Dawn of the Dead & 300) comes the 'super-hero' film of the year. Visually stunning big screen adaptation of the DC comic.

Went and seen The Fourth Kind tonight

Pretty disturbing viewing i must admit. Gets you thinking maybe there is something else out there..

If you don't knwo what it's about, it's a film about alien abduction, the story is filmed by actors but it has video footage of events that have happened, also an interview with the woman who is a phsycalist, which she had many clients who were reporting the same events, so she pursues this. Her daughet apparently gets abducted by alien's, you see video footage of the officers car outside her house of a ufo heading to the house and sending a beam of light.

I would recommend this, defo makes you wonder and at times made me shit scared !!
