Recommended films and TV

Recommended Posts

Not a recommendation but a comment on the current TV era. TV has never been this good and the major reason for that is cable/satellite etc coining in billions from subscription fees.

This gives them the cash to compete with Hollywood for the best writers and actors plus lavish production spending with the likes of Game of Thrones spending an average $10 million an episode in recent seasons.

We're in a new golden age of TV.

Just seen the first series of Black Summer on Netflix. A different take on the Zombie genre and more akin to 28 days later than the Walking Dead ... i.e. the Zombies can run !!!  The storylines are interweaved and did have some new takes on the subject, including one episode that is nearly all about one guys attempt to escape a particularly persistent zombie. Walking Dead it isn't but still worth a watch.
