Rangers stretch U19 lead

Rangers increased their lead at the top of the Clydesdale Bank U19 League to four points with a 3-1 weekend win over Kilmarnock at Murray Park in the only match to beat the freeze.

Kane Hemmings gave Rangers an early lead and Billy Kirkwood's side secured the points in the closing 15 minutes through Robbie Crawford and Andrew Mitchell after Rory McKenzie had equalised.

Youth Players Move On

Friday, 04 February 2011 18:37

Written by Elfideldo

In the last few weeks a few players have left the Under 17′s and 19′s Youth squads. Following a struggle with injury and illness Chris Scott has left the club after both parties agreed the best way forward. Michael Noble who started the season at left-back has been frustrated and being unable to reclaim his place after injury and requested that he be released to which the club agreed.

Three players who have been on the fringes have left the Under 17′s squad, Callum McConnell who was signed from St.Johnstone, has left to join Falkirk. Jack Donaldson & Ciaran Summers have left in search of a more regular game elsewhere. I am sure we all wish these lads all the best for the future.

A late addition to this list, following discussions between the player and the club it was agreed by mutual consent that Max Wright would be released from his contract, as with the others, I hope Max does well in the future with his new club.
