News & Reports on Rangers Youth Teams

Do you think the U19 squad is weaker this season elfideldo?

Is Kal Naismith injured btw?

Kal Naismith is now too old for the youth team

Without a doubt they are weaker, lack of ceativity from middle to front, no natural wide players and lack a goalscorer. Not all bad news Kamil Wiktorski was as good as anyone on the park today.

Having taken in St.Mirren-v- Aberdeen and Killie-v-Motherwell last weekend I think the overall standard is poor.

It does go in cycles though, 17's look to be good this year, especially 1st years (1996's). Seen the 15's a couple of times and look poor, 14's are better but lost one of their better players to Celtic.

Signed a boy from Jersey, Jamie Burrows and he looks a good player, but while on trial he was aksed to extend that trial as The head of youth was on holiday and we claim to be a big club, somehow I don't think that would happen at Barcelona's Academy.

I'm not sure signing players from the premership clubs on 1 year contracts is the way forward, better to promote the highly rated younger players in my opinion. Heard a few things in the past 6 months that concern me if true.
