Whyte losing patience over takeover

Recommended Posts

Craig Whyte has warned Rangers that only a swift conclusion to his takeover will give Ally McCoist the chance to make significant summer signings - avoiding the bleak scenario predicted by Walter Smith earlier in the week. While the prospective owner is willing to fund half-a-dozen signings, sources close to the deal insist this will only happen if he is in position soon. (Daily Mail)

The Scotsman's 'The Rumour Mill' attributes this wee snippet of nothingness to the Daily Mail, but there's no mention of anything like this on the DM website. It's probably just a BS column-filler in the DM printed version and not even worth taking notice of.

There are (only) two things that are at all likely to influence the outcome of this never ending farce. The first is direct pressure on David Murray by very public attacks on his character, acumen and failure at Rangers. The second is a similar public campaign against Lloyds Bank. Rangers fans appear to want to shelter behind any excuse to do neither, so I see no prospect whatsoever of the club being sold any time soon.

Roll up and pay your ST money. Your continued compliance is so much appreciated by those who benefit from the destruction of a football club. Mugs.
