Penicuik v Rangers 19's

Recommended Posts

Didn't make the game as I was in Belfast, but the team was

Alan Smith, Ewan McNeil, Robbie McIntyre, Jordan Wilson (Jamie Burrows), Kamil Wiktorski, Adam Hunter (Fraser Aird), Gregor Fotheringham, Robbie Crawford, Tom Oakes (Callum Wyllie), Jack Werndly (Aaron McGregor), Ants Marenghi.

Number 5 was Wiktorski and 3 would be Robbie McIntyre.

Tom Oakes (18 year old) is a trialist from Wigan Athletic, the mixed race player would be Jamie Burrows a trialist from Jersey, he has only just turned 16 and looks a decent player. His trial period has been extended another week, so they must be considering a contract.

What position was Tom Oakes playing?. I was impressed with the lad Burrows, especially if he is only 16,when he came on,deffo looks a player.

The big lad Kamil Wiktorski was easily the stand out in the Rangers team, and as I said the LB Robbie McIntyre looked good without doing anything special.

Oakes is a tall blonde striker, came on as a sub yesterday against Shotts, played 2nd half against Falkirk last week

Aye, he looked ok,looked like he was trying too hard though

The No 6 has a good shot on him, maybe not Albetz style, but he can crack a shot, he was very unlucky when he hit the bar in the second half. I think we can do with a player that is willing to hit the ball from outside the area.
