Doncaster Rovers sign Sam McMahon

Recommended Posts

Sam started last season well but then broke his collar bone, and done it again after starting back training. A hernia operation meant he missed the start of this season and struggled to make an impact in the youth team. His father and grandfather travelled up from Manchester on a regular basis to watch him play even in friendlies. I hope Sam can kick on at Doncaster and make a career in the game.

Cheers Bud for the wee insight into one of our former youth players, didn't know much about the guy, but like you, I wish him well in his career.

... some cynical voice whispers: "Maybe they should try training techinque and creativity instead of preparing them to a life against hammer-throwers? A life that is not exactly there any longer in the SPL. At least not as much as in decades gone bye.
