Uncertainity prevails over position of Ally McCoist

Recommended Posts

Record Sport believes that even though it will break his heart to leave, the 49-year-old is in an impossible position. And late last night sources said.......

However, according to one former director.......

The ex-board member claims.....

And our source also insisted......

But our source believes....

Our source said.....

Brilliant journalism eh?

I don't blame anyone for doubting the article - anyone who believes what is written in the press without caution is a fool! ;)

As such, if it is untrue (and Traynor just sounded very bullish on Radio Scotland) then it will be easy for Green and McCoist to deny.

Are some people actually welcoming this, really?

McCoist managed our club under the most trying of circumstances last season, without a functioning board, with a charlatan owner and against an almost constant backdrop of gossip, innuendo and rumour followed by administration, financial meltdown and a media feeding frenzy the like of which has never been seen before. He apparently went without a salary for a large part of last season and is credited with being the only steadying force at the club, indeed the fulcrum of Rangers for most of last season, during what is arguably the most difficult period in the clubs's history. He did this with the dignity we want from a Rangers manager.

He at the very least should expect to get the same from us.

I'm gutted at this story. Whatever you think of Ally as a manager, the guy is a true blue. He loves Rangers. If he can't see a way forward, I find that incredibly worrying for our future.

True blue or not he's a poor manager and that's all I care about.

Pumped out of 3 cups before the shit hit the fan and never solved the problem of losing his best player all season long. Anybody else but poor wee Ally would've been out the door on the last day of the season. He could afford to work without wages he made a mint in this playing days and TV work it's the players who deserve the credit for the wage cut not him.

Quote from Oleg on RM

Traynor says he's spoken to a reliable source, then Ally. Ally "wasn't in a position to deny it".

"You can safely assume that Ally will be gone."

"I couldn't speak to both sides last night, but will today."

In short, he stands by his story.
