Transfer thread - OFFICIAL!! David Templeton signs 4 year deal

Gers boss Ally McCoist has binned his interest in Brazilian trialist Andre Moritz — after he refused to play in a bounce game.

McCoist, who wanted to see Moritz in the 5-1 romp over Hamilton, is now looking at former AEK Athens defender Anestis Argyriou, 24, instead.

The Greek right-back and French Under-20 defender Sebastian Faure both played against Accies in a side also featuring Fran Sandaza and Kevin Kyle.

Gers also have an Aussie youngster in on trial.

I'll never understand why players on trial sometimes refuse to play in bounce games. Why would you do that? The guy Moritz supposedly tweeted that Rangers was his first choice, so why would he refuse to play in a bounce game? Not fully fit or something and trying to hide it?

Talking about not wanting to get injured, surely there's as much of a risk in training?

Doesn't sound like his heart was in the move, so no idea why he's tweeting about us being his first choice.

Aye, it's one of those ones we'd like to know more about, but end up having to chalk it up as just being weird/strange. Nothing new!

A couple of players have been and gone now, clearly we weren't going to be signing every player Ally wanted to have a look at and the five so far have been fantastic so in no way am I worried but I hope we don't leave ourselves too open to a deadline day rush.

That'll be us for 12 months, the squad needs more numbers now anyway not taking into account further departures.
