RANGERS SIGN CHANTELLE SWABY

 

Rangers Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of Jamaica international Chantelle Swaby.

The 22-year-old centre-half will join up with Malky Thomson’s side for the remainder of the 2020/21 season.

Born in the USA, Chantelle represented Jamaica at the 2019 FIFA World Cup in France starting all three games for her country.

Chantelle most recently played her football with Sky Blue in the Women’s National Soccer League in America.

CHANTELLE CAN'T WAIT TO GET STARTED

CHANTELLE Swaby can’t wait to get started at Rangers after joining the club from Sky Blue in America.

The 22-year-old defender has had to wait a little longer than expected to get into training with her teammates with the suspension of the SWPL but they have reached out and made her feel welcome in Scotland.

SCOTLAND CALL-UP FOR SEVEN RANGERS PLAYERS

SEVEN Rangers players have been called-up to the Scotland squad for upcoming UEFA Euro 2022 qualifying matches against Cyprus and Portugal.

Jenna Fife, Megan Cunningham, Rachel McLauchlan, Nicola Docherty, Sam Kerr, Lizzie Arnot and Zoe Ness have all been named in Stuart McLaren’s squad.

It is the highest number of Rangers players ever to be called-up to the National team at one time - with Gers the most represented club in the 23-player squad.

 

(Well, 7 out of those 7 have only been recruited these last 12 months or so ... ? )
