Rangers Women - Games and Updates

Recommended Posts

A good performance from the team today much better than in the previous two games.  The return of Megan Bell and the quality shown by the three new acquisitions, who have added quality to the team, all helped ensure a comfortable win though it also has to be said that Motherwell were quite poor.  A more stringent test of how far they have progressed will come in the next match when they play Glasgow City.

Looks like we have got our act together now, after leading 3-0 at HT, our women are now 4-0 up, Megan Bell, Kirsty Howatt and Zoe Ness before the break, Lizzy Arnott after 52 mins. City, according to their twitter, have had 2 penalty appeals (58 & 64 mins) waved away by the ref.

Game`s finished as a 5-0 away win against Glasgow City, probably their highest home defeat in Scotland thus far.

Rangers got it all together in this match though Glasgow City were a bit underwhelming, perhaps due to their midweek European match.  The three players signed from Glasgow City have aded a bit of quality to the team.  Strong performances from Lizzie Arnot and Sam Kerr and a goal coming from Girasoli, one of our defenders just like Tav/Goldson in the men's team.  Overall, going full-time seems to have made a difference as we looked stronger and fitter than Glasgow City.  The victory also means we have a double top; both our senior teams are top of their respective leagues.
