That's a mind blower...records like that nowadays usually go to the elite pandering their trade at the very top.

 

In saying that...Messi, Ronaldo, Hazard and anyone else will never manage that personal feat in any league.

 

The Scottish League was a well respected league back in those days, most of today's stars would have been 'ordinary' in it.

Thanks to everyone who turned up on the day, not sure of total attendance yet but definitely more than a thousand.

 

Rangers won the game 5 - 4, last minute penalty

 

Alex Rae was MOTM

Great turn out from ex Rangers, plus Anderton, and 3 young guys, Daniel Dansie , Connor Park and Ty Thunder

 

Bar in ground took record takings to the point we didn't think we would get it cleared for the post match dinner

 

Local pubs happy with mini invasion in particular the Waverley and Unicorn.Players had a drink post game in Waverley and signed autographs etc

 

Bognor Chairman Jack Pearce wanted to pass on his thanks to the players and in particular the fans who made it such a brilliant day in the scorching sun

 

Police Inspector also commented on the fans who he said were outstanding

 

Post match dinner for 145 from all over UK was a cracking night and John Brown presented Bev,Dave Clarke's partner, with the match trophy and a big bunch of Orange lillies.Michael Mols donated signed boots and Lewis Macleod also sent a signed pair for auction

 

Match report will appear in local press Bognor Observer on Thursday
