Just to be clear to those that dont get it , the spl dont own the european places , those are nominated by the SFA , if the spl fails do you think the european places dissappear with them

I assume Mr Green is attempting to push for league reconstruction on the basis that we will be invited to the "new" SPL/ SPL 2 set up proposed?

The fact is that he's at Rangers to make money, he admitted that from the start. However he wont be doing that in the 3rd division and needs us to go up the leagues asap.

Interestingly enough, there are enough calm Villa supporters who do not take anything on face value:

Guys lets all calm down and take no notice of Mr Greens comments.Sorry, a history lesson for you all, Villa and Rangers are brother and sister clubs, hence the mottos Prepared and Ready, plus both wear the rampant lion on their shirts. These two clubs also have another thing in common the one and only, the great Mr William McGregor!!!!!

Spot on, mate. As far as Greenâ??s comments are concerned, itâ??s a case of â??file under Dave Whelan, and forgetâ?.

On a sidenote, as a Yorkshire man, are there any rivalries between Brimingham and the clubs up there or Sheffield's for that matter?

Brother and sister clubs? With all due respect i'm really not into the whole 'special relationships' type stuff that Celtic love to push.

Agreed to an extent except with good friendly relationships with the likes of AC Milan, Hamburg and Linfield. Thats shown by playing friendly MATCHES and with fans getting along. But when was the last time we invited Aston Villa to Ibrox or vice versa.

Well, it is probably a "certain groups" thing. While the Rangers support as such may not actually be that involved in friendships with Linfield, Chelsea, Hamburg et al, some local RSC go on well with supp. clubs of their "actual local" team in e.g. Birmingham. Or there was something in what the modern day Bluenose simply do not remember, like the days when the Rangers went to Wolverhampton town et al ...
