Posted this on the Cardinal thread but as it's quite topical. Check out Alex Gibney's Documentary "Mea Maxima Culpa: Silence in the House of God" Shocking expose of the abuse in the Catholic church, the cover up and the links with the current Pope. And people wonder why he was the fist Pope to resign in a billion years??...

just saw cloud atlas. i really like this film. i like storys and its 6 storys all with a moral set across time telling a wider story as well. sort of a modern aesops fables

some great actors in it and it looked beautiful.

fun walking home past where some of it was shot as well.

its very long and takes a while to get going. its not for everyone but it was a little different and if you like storys its got some crackers.

it also indulged my asian fetish fantastically.

8 out of 10.

I was a bit disappointed with it. I like post-apocalyptic films but not this one.

Pick up a copy of Perfect Sense for a better watch:

Thanks, will check that one out.

Completely different film last night - Tintin. :-) used to like the cartoons. Didn't enjoy this film. Started ok but sucked a bit.
