alan johnston's take on qos success.

Recommended Posts

' Listen it hasn't been complicated' he insisted, 'All I have done is send the guys out to play the type of football I enjoyed playing myself and would want to watch as a fan.

'That is an attacking style which aims to be as positive as possible at all times.

'The players have embraced that philosophy and are the ones who have delivered the success we have had

'If there has been an area Sandy Clark and I have done well in, it has been in marrying the right amount of experience in with the very strong young talent we are blessed with at the club,

The blend has been good because we have showed up well in our games against teams from the higherv leagues , such as Dundee Utd and Hibs and when we beat Rangers at Ibrox.

thats the rub of it. football is really simple and all these guys know how to play it. you would honestly be amazed if you ever got to play against them just how good they are and the things they can do with a ball.

25 straight league wins for qots.

That's mighty impressive, in any league. A wee bit unfortunate that with everything else going on the Scottish game, that a huge achievement like that is not getting more headlines, which it clearly deserves.

Yeah, another "stick the boot in" - thread. Highly required and long overdue. You do wonder what drives some people on.

Back when we were send out of the Ramsden Cup, the chap who scored the goal way after injury time did so from an offside position AND should have been sent off long before that. But never let get this into the way of another team-bashing. It apparently sparked QotS into a neat run and fair enough. Good for them. (Though they achieved this last week and you wonder why it is dug out again? Tame the joy?)

Sadly, our 200 goals and 100 points a season expectation (by some) did not come to pass. We took that first step nonetheless and the rest will be history in 4 months time. Alas, this season might have helped some to come down to the level of expectation that is realistic for the time being.

I keep hearing about this first step. I would like to know where this "first step" is leading us
