The last weeks events

If the events of the last couple of years have taught us nothing else , then the only thing that is certain is that the truth is the first victim when it comes to Rangers .

 

I spoke to a very old friend yesterday who has worked in the press industry for more years than he cares to remember , his opening line was " remember we are in the middle of a circulation war between the sun and the record " now in no way does that explain everything or anything , however our club is being used , we the fans are being manipulated due to feelings and emotions still being extremely raw .various journalists are writing pieces that they know are nothing more than sensational drivel yet their editors are allowing them to be published, we are seen as still weak , we have a board that is split supposedly , so we are an easy target , to be honest this was always going to happen when powerful people get thrown together there will always be friction , and when it's a club of our magnitude it was always going to get played in public .

 

In various fans forums there are threads much as on here , Sevco this , Green that , the board must do this etc etc yet we will never get the truth , in the history of any club rarely does the truth filter out yet we continually cry out for something that we will never get .

 

IMHO the only thing in our favour is , and this may sound strange , our position in the bottom tier , we still have time on our side and still have the ability to restructure even though a year has gone by , god only knows what the fans reaction would be if we were actually in the top tier and this was happening when we were facing the top teams , my only hope is that one faction eventually wins and stability returns , but one thing that will never happen is that we the fans get the truth , history tells us that , and lets be honest some of us couldn't handle the truth .
