Boris Pandza is hopeful a deal can be struck with Rangers after being offered a three-year deal by the club.

The Bosnian defender is waiting for word back from his agent as negotiations continue between the two parties, with Ibrox boss Ally McCoist keen to sign him up.

Pandza is available on a free after ending his contract with Belgian club Mechelen and is keen to join the Third Division champions.

Listen to what he said on STV today.....

It would be good to get a settled centre half partnership rather than moving McCulloch in their. The thought of make shift defence of Daly and McCulloch at times would be worrying. Zaliukas or Berra would have been good as they are well equipped and experienced for the SPL so would have cruised Div 2.

Express Sport understands there is a major gulf between the wages on offer and what the Bosnian defender, 26, is looking for.

Pandza, who was at Mechelen last season, has other options and is ready to turn to them if significant progress is not made over the next 48 hours.

I've not read the article, however if the difference on offer is significantly much more than what he wants then we should drop the interest IMO. Aye we need a couple of good CB but not at over the odds just now. We will manage to get back to the top league without him, we have enough and maybe there a cheaper options available.
