I know this group divides opinion for one reason and another but I think this is excellent work.

If they would only stick to the things they are good at, like this, more people wouldn't have a problem with them. I do think the last sentence is a bit dodgy though. Could be viewed as incitement IMHO.

What we all need to realise that this is all part of their masterplan since you-know-who was their chairman. They're trying to portray us as a 'toxic brand'. We're racists, bigots, who ran up a £134m tax bill paying players we couldn't afford whilst they're the good guys at the 'club for all'. The reality is of course completely different as can be see by their supporters constantly displaying support for terrorists groups and their supporters general behaviour as the people of Dundee & Brentford will testify for in recent times. It's all about headline-grabbing & it matters not whether factually correct or not. Once the headline has got out it will have some sort of lasting effect.

The piece of scum is playing his part too. The actual article in the newspaper did not actually mention Rangers by name but the implication was there. The headline got out. No one bothered to check the facts & this guys background except VB. Also, how is the police investigation progressing ? most buses have CCTV in them nowadays so surely the attackers would have been identified by now. Was there really an incident at all ? considering Girvan's previous I'd cast doubts on that.

Sooner or later there'll be another headline like this one where the mhedia are only too willing to put out a headline portraying Rangers and/or its supporters in a bad light. They probably won't bother to check their facts either. If they think there's a market out there for anti-Rangers stuff out there then they'll soon find out there isn't when their sales fall even further than now.If this doesn't give Rangers supporters a reason to stop buying the Sun then nothing will.

When The Sun newspaper ran with the front page headline last week about the alleged sectarian attack on a man and his dog, it raised a few eyebrows. Those who chose to take the story at face value were very quick to condemn the alleged attackers, painting a damning picture of modern day Scotland where sectarian hatred is so bad towards Celtic supporters, even their dogs were being assaulted. Others though were less than convinced at this headline story and chose to do a bit of research; something I would have expected a newspaper like the Sun to have done before they ran with the story. As has been well documented a Vanguard Bear was able to gather irrefutable evidence which destroyed the credibility of both the headline and one of the alleged victims, Stephen Girvan.

Almost a full week later, no evidence has been produced to prove beyond doubt that any such attack ever took place and yet the Sun newspaper chose to run with the story for two days. Despite the writer of the article, Sam Walker being presented with a full dossier on Mr Girvan from Vanguard Bears in which, Girvan's' own words and deeds prove beyond any doubt that he is a racist sectarian bigot, the Sun refused to acknowledge the inaccuracies within the original article and they have only now taken the decision to run with a story regarding the real sectarian bigot in the whole scenario, Mr Girvan himself.

Perhaps they fear ridicule from their rivals for running a story which has spectacularly back-fired on them?

Yesterday Vanguard Bears contacted the Sun with news of an attack on a 50-year-old Scottish man who was brutally assaulted by two Irish thugs on a beach in the tourist resort of Pattaya in Thailand. The 50 years old Scot was wearing a Rangers shirt at the time of the attack, and was left bleeding and semi-conscious, requiring hospital treatment. The two attackers were caught by Thai police and arrested.

With the issues of sectarianism and mindless attacks dominating the headlines, and bearing in mind this was a 50-year-old man wearing a Rangers shirt being attacked by two Irish thugs, Vanguard Bears were interested to see what the Sun's reaction would be to this exclusive, and whether they would treat this attack with the same gravity as the story about 'one man and his dog'.

The local newspaper website in Thailand contains the story with various pictures of the victim and perpetrators, so in this day of lazy reporting this would be a reporters wet dream; simply copying and pasting this ready-made story with pictures. The bonus being for the Sun of course, that this attack really did happen, so no chance of egg on their faces.

Vanguard Bears chose the author of the ****** dog headline, Sam Walker to contact as it seemed a good choice in the present circumstances, however Sam's reply to our email with details of the assault on the Scot abroad was neither acceptable, nor what we expected:

"We won't be covering this story as the suspects have been arrested and this seriously restricts the amount we can report on it".

We then pointed out to Sam that news coverage of the 'Peru Two' had adorned plenty of their newspaper pages after the arrests, and queried that first response, to which Walker replied,

"Do your research and come back to me when you qualify as a journalist with a degree in media law".

We found this comment totally unacceptable and pressed on by asking why one story merited a splash headline and repeated runs of the story over two days, while the other didn't even merit a mention when it is quite obvious that both could be seen as sectarian attacks. Another reply followed,

"In that case court rules were ignored because of the gravitas and public interest of the story.

No one cares enough about two thugs beating up another thug to break court rules and the football teams they support is irrelevant.

Please do yourself a favour and get another hobby that reaches beyond the Old Firm.

I'm bored of both side's petty and obsessive attitude towards a game.

I will not be dedicating any more time to dealing with people like you and your endless religious drivel.

Consider this an end to the matter".

The content and tone of that reply; sent from this newspapers employers email address is disgraceful and shows a total disregard for the victim of a brutal assault that not only left the victim bleeding, but now in the eyes of a Scottish Sun journalist branded as a "thug", and told that nobody would be interested in it. If Walker is not speaking on behalf of the newspaper then this type of unacceptable response requires further investigation.

That the very same newspaper (I'm taking it that Walker does actually speak for the newspaper) would consider that a so far unsubstantiated story about an alleged sectarian attack on a man and his dog on a bus would be more newsworthy than a confirmed brutal assault on a 50 year old Scottish man wearing a Rangers shirt by two Irish thugs while abroad is quite beyond me. The original Thai website had many comments that didn't take the view that this was an attack by thugs on a thug, indeed it is quite the contrary; they were quick to slate the two perpetrators, and eager to point out what awaits them in one of Thailand's jails.

Walker clearly feels that this is religious drivel yet he and his paper have absolutely no qualms about the use of religious drivel when it can be used to slate and tarnish Rangers and their supporters at every opportunity, while suppressing any bad news story that doesn't fit in with their agenda.

If Walker's views are nor representative of those of the Sun newspaper, then the newspaper itself should carry out a full investigation into Walker and his dismissive and disrespectful views on sectarian attacks on Rangers supporters. If Walker's views are representative of those of the Sun newspaper, the message is simple:

DO NOT BUY THE SUN

If you care about balanced reporting then you should also tell your friends and family not to either, until such time as the Sun newspaper issues an apology and chooses to take a more balanced view.
