So what is the Easdale's grand plan then? So far, they have been rather silent and McColl, from day one, has not said a word about them either.

Definitely a case of Mather jumping before he was pushed. Monday's court case was no doubt the last straw.

I struggle to define their role to be honest.

 

I don't trust them but sometimes I wonder just how ridiculous their (or at least their PR gurus') actions can be before they're labelled double agents.

We're told constantly that the current board have the backing of a large majority of investors yet you want us to believe a small minority forced Mather's resignation?

 

I think it's more likely that those in charge realised that Mather wasn't a suitable CEO and are looking to replace him with a candidate more likely to win ratification at any delayed AGM. Certainly doesn't look like the Easdales refused the resignation - so did they play their part as well?

 

Did I say they forced him out on their own? No.

 

They played a part though, along with the likes of SOS, Paul Murray and Malcolm Murray.

 

I have no idea how the Easdales feel about any of this because we haven't heard a peep out of them.
