While we are at it ...

Snatched from FF:

So in the week after a Scottish club's fans rioting (yes, that's correct, rioting) whilst on a European trip the sweep sweep, cover up and deflection continues.

Not once have I see the rioters being called yobs, thugs or similar, instead they have been victims.

With that in mind the call of the day in the print edition of The Daylate Rhebel (celtic's inhouse comic) shouldn't have surprised me

John Coyle, London, has a conspiracy theory. He said: “There’s an attempt being made to equate the trouble the Celtic supporters had in Amsterdam with Rangers’ long-standing hooligan problem, which is unfair.”

Now wait, Rangers have a long-standing hooligan problem, whereas the Yahoos are fairies caught in a naughty storm? Reality is a bitch though ...

2. We only report incidents involving international matches. For domestic situations please use the system in place by the Scottish police, Scottish government and other bodies, to report offences.

So why is it the case that their website contains incidents reported in Champions League Games? Also worth noting their website contains incidents of only "reported" chants etc.

Absolute shambles

By international matches, they mean non-domestic games, be it internationals or European Cup games. The remark is in so far irrelevant as the Frank de Boer chants were done during an "international" game and there is no need to include the "domestic situations". Farcical.

BTW, Ajax have been fined Euro 25k for their supporters' "****** Bastards" banner. And rest assured, the sectarian chants aimed at Frank de Boer were send (with evidence) to UEFA and FARE.

What's worse - a banner or the riots which took place in Amsterdam involving Celt*c supporters ?

According to UEFA it's a banner judging by the fact they've fined Ajax & have done nothing to Celt*c I'm aware of.

What sort of people run UEFA? Which world do they live in?

As UEFA see it, the banner is inside the ground (their bit) and the riots were outside (Netherland's court system's bit). they deal with their bit & the courts deal with theirs.

Then they should deal with the sectarian singing inside the ground as well.

Also I seem to recall Rangers getting punished for the actions of their fans outside the ground.

Indeed. Hence, AFAIK, our club was not charged and fined for the riots in Manchester, was it?

UEFA has fined and charge the Yahoos for offensive chanting (Boys of the Old Brigade). It did not stop them singing it ever after. UEFA did not react despite numerous complaints. The FdB chants fell well under their jurisdiction. Nothing happened.

It could well be that they now (sic!) view the complaints as a Rangers vs Celtic support tit-for-tat, but does that make the chants untowards FdB any less sectarian and or offensive? What holds true for the banner does not hold true for the songs? (of course, you do wonder what fine linguists FARE sends out to Russia, Croatia et al ...

FARE must be the only ever anti-racist/bigotry organisation who are themselves bigots i.e. anti-Rangers, anti-anyone playing against their beloved hoops but will turn a blind eye & deaf ear to anything by the jolly craicsters in the celt*c support. This organisation should be exposed for what they are

They just don't want to deal with the celt*c problem. Neither do the SFA & our so-called government in holyrood
