That's the first time I've properly looked at the 'logos' of the various groups. The Sons of Struth seem to have a Sabre Tooth Tiger, albeit a red, white and blue one, let's hope there's no analogy to be drawn. Union Bears does look angry, or perhaps doing a difficult shit, in the woods presumably. Hopefully this event is a success and we can hold similar meetings in the future. The Light Blue legions have staged a number of protests against the Gers hierarchy, with representatives of the Sons of Struth this week meeting institutional investors ahead of a make-or-break AGM on December 19. Having lost chief executive Craig Mather and non-executive directors Bryan Smart and Ian Hart, the Rangers board have added to their ranks in recent weeks, with new acting chairman David Somers and director Norman Crighton joining the top table before the naming of new CEO Graham Wallace yesterday morning. The new members, plus finance director Brian Stockbridge and businessman James Easdale must all stand for re-election at the shareholder summit next month. And Rangers Supporters' Association supremo Roberton told SportTimes: "There will be a lot of PR from both sides in the next few weeks. "The current board haven't shown a willingness to engage with anybody from what I can see, though. Maybe in the lead-up to the AGM they will be more open with fans. "I think the fans and the Sons of Struth will continue their protests and demonstrations right up to the AGM. "Their view is that the club is in the wrong hands and that the incumbents need to be removed. "The fans support the view that the board aren't the right people to run Rangers and aren't right for the club. "I find it strange that anyone has been appointed to the board in the current climate but the board were always going to fill the club with their own people and muddy the waters. "We will just have to wait and see what happens now at the AGM. "Everyone on the board must stand for election and it will be up to the shareholders who stays and who goes. "The board will obviously vote for themselves so it will be up to the fans and institutional investors how things turn out." Meanwhile, the Rangers Supporters' Trust have yet to hold showdown talks with the Ibrox powerbrokers, despite there only being one month to go until the crucial AGM. The RST met with members of the Jim McColl and Paul Murray alliance earlier this month but have so far been blanked by the Light Blues board. A Trust statement said: "Prior to our recent home match with Airdrie, we met with Jim McColl's group and requested a similar meeting with the club ahead of next month's AGM. People need to stop creating new groups for that to happen. 10 years ago we had Association and the newly formed Trust.
