No direct connection to the running of the club?

  • They were the first to requisition an EGM and force boardroom changes.
  • They have systematically placed their own men on the PLC & Club boards.
  • They've consolidated their shares into a block by giving the voting rights to one of their men on the board in order to retain control after the AGM.

How on earth does that equate to having no direct connection to the running of the club?

From the SFA/SPFL & a business stand point they are not in control of the club.

They can raise EGM's etc in exactly the same way as any other shareholder responsible for 5%+ shareholding ie. The Requisitioner's.

Any person they "place" on the board IS under the jurisdiction of the SFA/SPFL, but not the actual holding company.

As I have previously stated Mad Vlad @ Hearts held all the power & shares, yet did not hold a place on the board....therefore they SFA/SPL could do absolutely nothing about his rants etc. but as we all know, he was actively involved with the daily running of the club. Craig Whyte on the other hand, held a majority shareholding AND a place on the board - he was therefore accountable to the SFA/SPL.

“You deserve answers to the following:

“1. Why does your board refuse to disclose who is behind Blue Pitch Holdings and Margarita Holdings, the original backers of Charles Green and Imran Ahmad?

“2. Why does your board refuse to engage with you apart from issuing veiled threats that if you do not continue to buy season tickets the club will be in financial difficulty?

“3. Why does your board fail to acknowledge the critical need for fresh investment?

“4. Why does your board refuse to engage with our group, four individuals with credible business credentials and access to public and private investment to help the club and who are prepared to help the club for free?

“5. Why does your board continue to support Brian Stockbridge when his position is clearly untenable and who had to repay his bonus to secure the vote of Laxey?

“6. Why does your board continue to retain the services of Jack Irvine, a man who insulted John Greig, the greatest ever Ranger?”

Will these questions be asked?, will these questions be answered?.

Probably yes, definitely no or at least not truthfully, e.g 1. "Chris Morgan..."

They have no masterplan. Just lobbying shareholders who put up their money a year ago and they weren't prepared to do so.

King has previously put more money into the club, than the rest of these wanks put together. He also has never taken a cent out. Your view of the present incumbents really is clouded by their endless spin and bullshit. Perhaps yours, and others attitudes will change after a few seasons finishing 2nd/3rd in the big league.

Whatever happens in the future, this current mob have made a rip roaring cunt of it, and continued support from people like your good self is delusional at best.

That's a good point. Others may have put money into the club but it doesn't really count if they take it back out again. When you look at net input compared to investment worth and benefits then King has put in more than everyone bar the fans collectively.

However, that fact itself explains why he's biding his time for when to invest, having missed the original asset buyout due to legal problems. When you've already burned £20m, it's understandable to wary about how your next investment is going to perform. Had he invested in the IPO he'd have already lost about 40% of his money to the splurge.

We need to be able to survive one more year, get promoted to the top and then refund with another share issue. I think that's when to expect King to be a big player.

On the field I personally dont think it will take nearly 20 million to catch Celtic. They are not a great team at all, they are being hyped as only Celtic can.

I don't think they are a great team either but I think we'd need to spend a lot more than 20 Million because:

1) they will spend when we get back

2) 20 million if it includes wages is not many players

3) lets, say, we get 5 players in for 20 million - how many will make it? What's the average for players coming in being a success at Rangers? What's the ratio under Ally?

To get a handful of players that would actually settle and do well would cost a lot more than 20million. Meanwhile our enemies will strengthen every time we do/try to.

It's probably all moot now anyway given what we are being told re the vote. A long run of even more cracks at getting group stage money for the mendicants. It's a disgrace
